Good location and a great swimming pool.
Good location and great swimming pool. Room was fine, although it was obviously built for self-catering and thus it was disappointing that they had removed the fridge. With the hot weather this would have been a very welcome addition to the room.

The stay was fantastic and made so by a guy named James. He is truly an asset to the hotel and should be valued by his employers. He went out of his way to accommodate my requests and made me feel like I was his only client. I believe he is only there for about 2 weeks, which I found hard to believe as he seems to be so clued up on the hotel, the people, and generally everything related. James is surely a superstar at the resort and would be one of the reasons I return!!!

Brilliant Stay
Will return any opportunity I have! Villas is great for families or friends. View spectactular. Rooms comfy. Staff friendly. Only 1 down side - units needs some work. Lots of appliances been run down by malicious ware and tear by previous guests. Also housekeeping not up to standard regarding utensils and cleanliness of stoep and entrance areas

We received a warm welcome. Rooms were well cleaned and kept in good condition. Everything we needed was avaiable for usage. I was especially amazed that even the hair dryer which was not secured was still there. Gardens and pool areas are in splendid condition. Location is perfect for exploring surrounding areas and nearby amenities.

Great location and well laid out resort. Staff showed us half way to our room??? Very nice room with kitchen, dining room and lounge with large balcony. Problem was room smelt of damp. A humidifier was put in the room to mask the smell but it just made it worse. On top of this the bed had a torn sheet. Hotel was not busy, why give a substandard damp room?

Overall the premises is lovely especially when traveling with the family, there is plenty of activities for the kids. The service was great and enjoyed the restaurants in the premises, only thing I could say was a disappointment are the rooms were not that clean and the bathroom had a bad smell.

Convenient and Nice
Unfortunately, we only had an opportunity to stay for one night. During the stay, we were able to enjoy a beautiful room one the first floor, with a patio door that opened towards a walkway to the pool. The room was very clean, but the walls were pretty thin and we could hear the next door neighbor for half the night. Parking was very secure with gated security entrance and the greeters were very friendly.

The accommodation and service was amazing. But for a self catering setup it lacked any kitchen utensils or food prep equipment, just two glasses, two cups and a kettle. Such a shame as has so much potential.

had difficulties with our booking, which the staff very graciously helped us to handle. also helped us book our shark cage diving at the front desk. although breakfast was not included, it was one of the best that we had during our visit in south africa. rooms were very spacious. beds were comfortable. nice, serene courtyard area. had some difficulties connecting to the wifi in our room. overall, really happy to have stayed here.

Wonderful overnight stay at the hotel, really would recommend this hotel to anybody travelling on the garden route and would consider stopping at knysna. Very clean and spacious rooms. Rooms face pool or garden so either way lovely views. Hotel located in a very secure area. Friendly staff who were helpful especially at the front desk except for one person who's name i wouldn't like to disclose. I actually had to deal with her because she is part of the management team there in the hotel. Overall we had a lovely time and would defenitely come back again

Great Hotel
Very luxurious and such a great hotel. Staff are friendly and everything is in such pristine condition. The decor and general look & feel of this hotel rival many top hotels I've stayed in. Centrally located to all the spots you would want to visit in-and-around Knysna.

Good Value in knysna

luxury hotel in knysna
the hotel facilities were top class; the restaurant was very accommodating since we arrived late and prepared everything to our spec even though we were the last/only customers; the location in a large garden setting near the water's edge was great - not too close to the town bustle but not too far away either; good selection of premium channels on dual flat screen tvs were great too :)

Peaceful - gorgeous gardens
We stayed in a 1st floor room with balcony overlooking the gardens - beautifully peaceful! The room was spacious and comfortable, with small kitchenette area. The only thing we thought was strange was the shower door that would not open fully as it knocked against the toilet bowl - strange! - and meant getting into/out of the shower was a bit of a squeeze, but a minor concern overall. Just out of the town, about 5 mins drive [the Directions in the Expedia mobile app took us somewhere totally different which was frustrating, but not the fault of the hotel. We didn't use the restaurant or the pool, so can't comment, but would be happy to recommend the hotel itself.
