Amazing location , beautifully appointed rooms and wonderful staff. This place has genuine wow factor !

Occasionally whilst on your travels you stumble upon somewhere you really feel at home ... this is how it was when we stayed at 88 Baron van Reede. The accommodation was just perfect, comfortable and relaxing. Huw and Zoe, gave us a very warm welcome and spent quite some time, advising on local attractions and restaraunts to visit, even providing discount vouchers for some of them! Zoe's assortment of home made cakes, pastries and jams, were also a lovely touch, and the breakfast selection...

Very friendly, beautiful place with a fantastic breakfast, highly recommend

Amazing place. Deep in the bush. Fantastically decorated. Breakfast different each day. Excellent.

Highlight of our holiday. We stayed for 2 nights and went on 4 drives and saw so many amazing animals. Pretty much everything very close to the vehicle - which was more than I could have hoped for. Our ranger was passionate and knowledgeable as well as determined to make the most of our trip for us. You will not be disappointed if you book here and want to see Lions, Elephants, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hippo, Cheetah and actually so much more! We chose this resort as we have a 10 month old baby and I...

From the welcome we received to the farewell the level of personal service we received from the owners Albert and Elsa were unparalleled. Very tastefully decorated, spotless and in a beautiful location overlooking the river. We only stayed one night but will definitely return and stay longer. Loved our stay.

A gem of a guesthouse. All the staff were so lovely, helpful, cheerful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room and bathroom were both spacious, spotless and felt luxurious. Breakfast was fantastic, delicious and generous. Thank you to everyone

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Plume. The room was immaculate, spacious and had an outside sitting area. The rooms and dining room offer an old-worldly elegance. The food was delicious and the staff exceptional.

A lovely 3-night stay at this homely, rustic-style guest house. With a warm, friendly greeting we felt right at home from the start. In a very convenient, easily walkable, yet quiet location right in the centre of Oudtshoorn, with a delightful garden and pool area and safe on-site parking, this guesthouse is a gem. Gerry is an outstanding host! He went above and beyond to provide recommendations and information on the area .... he even made restaurant reservations for us. Always friendly and...

Very welcoming, good breakfast, nice staff, good location. Would recommend.

Very peaceful and beautiful place to stay. Easy access to Cango Caves and Meerkat experience. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Welcome drink and warm welcome on arrival. The only minor issue we had was that we noticed quite a few ants in our bedroom in the morning. We would still recommend this place to others.

Lovely quirky hotel. Would definitely recommend

The room was really nice, some great views of the mountains and the whole area was nice and quiet

A beautiful guesthouse, outstanding food, excellent service from the host and staff. Lollies went out of his way to make our stay as pleasant as possible - nothing was too much to ask. Thank you!

We stayed one night at the Oakdene Guest House and wished we had stayed for two nights. The owners, Sonia and Daniel, were very welcoming and couldn’t have done anymore for us. Sonia cooks her own bread and cakes for guests. The smell and taste of both was fantastic. There is a swimming pool at the end of the long garden which was a great spot to unwind after a long drive. We would recommend this guest house and definitely stay here again if we visit Oudtshoorn. This guest house is perfect for...

Our host Hermein was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was everything you could have wanted. I had the fruit with granola and yogurt. Followed by loads of toast and a cooked breakfast with the tastiest smoked bacon I’ve ever tasted. She organised a free taxi to and from a lovely local restaurant on the evening of our arrival. We left the next morning for the short drive to the caves, the wildlife sanctuary and the ostrich...
