We had an uneventful check-in- the staff was courteous and helpful. The room, while dated, was fine- it was clean, the doors all sealed to show they had been sterilized, the bed was comfortable. We were exhausted after 3 days of travelling. What we didn't know was that our room backed up to the railroad tracks and the trains rolled noisily under our window every every hour, to 2 1/2 hours, all night. It was horrible. When we left the room in the morning we noticed that most of the rooms on the other (quieter) side were mostly sealed shut, so unused. I asked the morning clerk if we got that room because we used Trip Advisor and she said yes. We were stunned! We learned two things from this experience- we will never stay at this property nor will we use Trip Advisor again. We owned a motel for 30 years and would have used the opportunity to cultivate regular customers instead of alienating them completely.
