"I had to check in at 2am due to a delayed flight. Front desk was staffed with a very courteous gentleman who made sure I was comfortable. Room was spotless. Breakfast buffet was amazing. This would be my top choice the next time I visit Athens, I wish my stay was longer."

"The hotel was very clean and well-staffed, with a private check in for those staying in rooms with lounge access. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in the lounge, when breakfast, afternoon tea and snacks/drinks served in the evening. A relaxed atmosphere with attentive service. The room was recently refurbished, an excellent size and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the turn down service a classy touch that has been mostly forgotten in modern hotels. The only gripe is an Intercontinental hotels policy that restricts TV volume to a barely audible '20' that required subtitles to understand what was being said. There appears no way to change that but when the air conditioning unit is on, it's inaudible. A very enjoyable stay and a hotel I'd return to. "

"The Stanley is a great hotel to stay at while visiting Athens. Here are some detailed notes about the property. Room: -Stayed in a room with twin beds -Bed was large and allowed us to both sleep comfortably (long enough for tall guests– I am 6-foot-2) -Bedding and pillows were very comfortable -In-room air conditioning was powerful and allowed us to sleep at a comfortable temperature–perfect for people who prefer to sleep cold -Balcony was large and featured solid views of downtown Athens, the valley/surrounding mountains -Curtains blocked most of the light, but if you are sensitive to light, bring an eye mask -Other room features: mini-fridge, safe for valuables, coffee maker Hotel/Amenities: -Amazing rooftop pool with stunning views of the Acropolis, downtown Athens, and sea/mountains on a clear day -Comfortable lounge chairs/beds at the pool -Huge restaurant/bar with amazing views -Elevators were a bit small and slow, so patience is sometimes required (also have stairs to all rooms if you prefer to walk) -Friendly hotel staff and cleaning crews -Relatively quiet rooms–did not hear neighbors, but the hallway can get a bit loud after 10 AM Location: -Hotel is located right next to the Metaxourgeio metro stop, which makes travel to major sites quick, easy, and affordable -Felt safe walking around streets at night, even though many surrounding buildings/streets appear rundown -Great bakery/coffee shop steps away from the hotel"

"This was one of the coolest hostels I’ve ever stayed it- and I’ve been to a LOT of hostels. Beautiful design, nice hangout spot downstairs and in the mezzanine, good food, the rooftop was a bonus. How do I get the orange couch they have for my living room? It’s just a vibrant space full of art and interesting people. Also for the hostel rooms they had spacious lockers and a beautiful bathroom. Lastly the staff went above and beyond for me- I lost something and they checked with all the cleaning folks and remembered me and found me to report back. Just really nice of them."

"Staff amazing , public transport from Here to the sights really easy and cheap €8 for a 5 day ticket . 20 min tram ride to stigmata square where you can walk all around the history or shop eat and enjoy the city , then after back to the sea front . Road noise at first seems a lot but for every other benifit fast becomes irrelevant . I would completely recommend and sea facing room . We had the double panoramic room . Those face front and have balcony and face an amazing view , again higher the room is recommended . We were 1st floor and the traffic noise was quite a lot when door open but could not hear it when door was closed at night for sleeping. Food here is amazing in all restaurants so take your pick . We recommend Estia taverna a short walk from the hotel we went 3 times and the food was great prices and amazing to eat. In all for a few days this gives you a city break with some sea thrown in. Trust in the trans Edem stop is right outside and every 9 mins a tram to the centre . So it’s perfect "
