"Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Cherry Tree. The room and place were lovely and quite modern considering how old the building is.
There was only one shower towel and half a toilet roll when we checked into our room, as well as 1 of each tea/coffee so it seemed our room was prepared for one, however the staff were very helpful to sort this for us straight away.
The location was good for what we wanted, and we enjoyed a lovely evening in Chinnor (although be aware it's a 30 minute walk on...

"Lovely place to stay if you’re planning a trip to Oxford; a short walk from the main tourist attractions, close by to West Gate Shopping centre and just a stone throw away from the Thames. Lovely staff was very helpful and accommodating, would definitely come back the next time we visit"

"A really convenient hotel for central Oxford (and Blenheim) as close to the park and ride. There's a bus stop directly outside the hotel that takes you right into the centre of the city for less than £3 - meaning you can avoid the congestion & clean air zone charges by leaving the car in the huge car park. Reception is lovely, as are the staff, lots of little extras...free fruit, free cold drinks & spritz for the grown ups - which on the hotest day of the year was very welcome! The bedroom was spacious & the air con actually worked & the room cooled within minutes, which as the temps reached 34° was a huge bonus & meant we slept soundly! Only criticism would be, whilst the bedroom looked relatively newly renovated, the bathroom was dire!!! The bath had repairs around the edge with sharp edges on the bath side, the door hinges were orange with rust and the bottom of the door had huge chunks of psint missiing... tbf the whole bathroom felt like it hadn't been updated since the early 80s & it was tiny! The bedroom was huge & could easily have given space up to a larger bathroom. We only stayed for one night so didnt raise the issue with the poorly repaired bathroom with reception, but when I stay here again (and I will stay here again!) I will insist that the room we are given have a much better/updated bathroom next time."
"Fabulous hotel, extremly well maintained and clean. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast good variety and pleasant environment. Would return and recommend.
Thank you"
"Nice room with a good bathroom, would have been better if the smaller shower head had somewhere to rest on, otherwise you have to hold whilst showering when you don’t wish to use rain shower. Good breakfast with a view over Silverstone track, however some foods were clearly left over from the day before (fresh fruit salad was fresh two days before our stay). Lovely swimming pool and the gym, but got really put off from working out as a creepy guy in the was making really loud sex noises throughout his workout (I realise this is not to do with the hotel, but the reception staff were not approachable enough for me to discuss this with them at the time and that is to do with the hotel). Would I stay here again as two female travellers? Probably not. Is it a good place if you are a petrol head? Absolutely!"
"Great hotel with loads of character. Perfect location for exploring Oxford and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning."
"The room was quite clean, but I did not like that the carpet in both the room and the hotel was very dirty. I believe a hotel should not have carpets in such poor condition.
The staff was okay, but not very friendly. I think this may be related to the way British people are, although if you work in customer service, you should always provide the best experience possible.
The breakfast was excellent, with very helpful staff and delicious, fresh food. Parking was average.
Also, the lack of air conditioning in the room was very inconvenient, and there was no ice machine available either."
"Enjoyable two night stay. Very warm, which made the pool a godsend. Breakfast was a bit cramped and bland, if I was being picky. Lovely room, great bed and good size walk-in shower. Overall, a very definite thumbs up."
