Yet, we were still within about a 10 minute drive of the Kandy Lake area. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was particularly roomy. "This is a historic hotel with a huge charm factor. My room was enormous with three balconies, and the staff was very welcoming and professional. I especially enjoyed tea and coffee in the outdoor private garden and pool area. The location was central and convenient. I always felt safe and welcomed. "
