"Fantastic authentic hotel"

"Feels 3 star, best thing was the in room laundry. Walked into the hallway with dirty linen and towels on the ground. If that’s how they operate, made me question how clean the rooms actually were."

"My only significant problem was the laundry, which consisted of 4 or 5 small machines in a very small room with no table to put clothes on. The machines were combination washer-dryers, one of which had a "Broken" sign on it. Although the machine I used got the clothes clean, the drying phase was useless. I ran it through 3 drying cycles of 30 minutes each, but the clothes were still so damp that I had to drape them over the furniture in our room overnight."

"Room is the usual high quality expected from APA. This, I’m assured of. But the public bath, outdoor bath, steam room is unique in this location. Love the experience. Will definitely stay here again."

"Lovely hotel. My wife and I just left Kanazawa as we travel through Japan and loved our stay at Daiwa Roynet Hotel. The staff were all very kind and super helpful. The room we had was great! My wife and I kept saying “we don’t want to leave this room”. It was well appointed and while cozy, it was well laid out with a very nice bathroom and dedicated tub, which my wife loved. There is a 7-11 right in the hotel building and it’s literally a 4-5 minute walk to Kanazawa station and bus stops to get you into the city. We will absolutely stay here again, on our next visit to Kanazawa. "

"The room was very comfortable, and had adequate space, though one bed was pushed against the wall. Lots of helpful amenities. There were various refreshments in the lounge through out the day, which was nice. The onsen is small, but fully equipped. My only complaint was that there was a very bright light on a motion sensor in the entryway, and there was no way to turn it off. If you got up in the night to use the sink or toilet it came on blinding you (and anyone else) in the room. We found a creative solution, but there should be a way to turn the motion sensor off. "

"Staying here was amazing - a very good ryokan for the cost, it wasn't bougie but it was still amazing. The room is a good size, the futons and comfy and the view with the garden is excellent. Also, the staff were lovely, she spoke amazing English and was very friendly and helpful. She even had a map printed out showing what is in the nearby town (i.e. where to eat. laundromat and public transport). This was extremely helpful and showed that the staff care about our needs, and also walked us to our room. The public bath was amazing as well. "
