The Danna Langkawi - A Member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great time at the Danna. The staff is incredible.great kids club for our son. Everyone was super helpful. The only thing I would say is that the hotel is a bit tired. Needs updating on many fronts. But overall we were very happy "
"Great three night stay at The Bayou. Staff were polite and helpful with check in. We stayed in the Deluxe Super King which was modern, spacious and clean. The little snacks and drinks vouchers were a lovely touch. Air con worked very well with managing the temperature.
The aesthetic of the hotel was beautiful and all areas were well maintained. The pool was a great temperature and we never struggled to find sunbeds. View from pool is lovely, especially during sunrise.
The food at breakfast was varied. We also ate from the bar menu each afternoon and food service was available from the pool loungers.
Only thing I would like to point out is the gym was very small and only provides cardio equipment, with no weights on offer.
Overall a great stay, we would definitely recommend the hotel."
"Everything about our stay was excellent.
The only small hiccup happened the evening before we left, we were sitting out on the balcony when we suddenly noticed a leaf snake slithering between the wooden planks. We were so shocked (and a little mesmerized) that we just froze and didn’t even think to take a picture. It gave us a bit of a scare, so we avoided the balcony after that, but it honestly felt like one of those rare, wild moments you remember
We informed the staff at reception, and they were very responsive, they assured us it would be taken care of. Just something to be aware of if you’re not used to that kind of nature
"
"Amazing family holiday - the facilities , location and most importantly the staff were amazing !!! They made us feel very special and everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable "
"We enjoyed staying here. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Special mention to Zaini who always had a friendly smile and assisted with booking a tour and making our stay just that more enjoyable with his helpfulness. The reception staff arranged an upgraded room after having problems with the door lock of our initial room. Housekeeping, ground staff and restaurant staff all do an excellent job. We also liked the hotel being set back off the business of the Main Street. A nice vibe around the beautiful pool and bar, we recommend the Mercure as a lovely place to stay. "
