"Location was right next to the mall and restaurant but far away from the beach. This is a staycation for us. So I don’t care much of the beach but if you want to stay by the beach? This is the place."

Waikiki Resort Hotel

"Check in was rather easy. Got lots of info. The onsite adventure sales rep was informative and easy to work with. Great location and smack in the center of the beach activities. This alone makes me want to return. But won't recommend as a place to come with kids under 15. Only 3 gripes and one is huge. #1- You have to pay $2 per bag if the bell hop needs to store it. It's low but it's the principle of the matter #2- buffet staff as crazy. The buffet is 20 feet away from the pool area, but they won't let you leave to drink your coffee out there as there is no in and out. Lol..lame. I want to drink my coffee in the open and relax before I eat. #3- no shower in the pool bathroom area. Why does this matter. Because if you check in early or out late. You have no access to a shower. Then what? This is bad."

"I had an amazing stay at Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach. The location is perfect—just steps away from Waikiki Beach, restaurants, and shopping. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, with beautiful ocean views. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. One of the highlights was the stunning infinity pool and the incredible lobby aquarium, which created a unique and relaxing atmosphere. The resort offers excellent amenities, great dining options, and a true Hawaiian experience. I would highly recommend Alohilani Resort to anyone visiting Waikiki and would definitely stay here again."
Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort

"My first comment would be to let visitors know this is a RESORT, not really a hotel. It was required to pay a $65 a day resort fee that needed to be used at the resort restaurants and facilities. If you had hoped to eat at places off site, you had to first be sure to spend your $65 inside the resort. That being said, the menu prices in the resort restaurants were exhorbitant. Our first night we had 2 items and a couple of cocktails. The tab was close to $120. I could buy a 6 pack for what they charge for one beer. This was at the Tapas restaurant, where the furniture was incredibly uncomfortable and hard to sit in. Also, be aware the parking fee was $79 per day ($92 for valet service). Seems excessive. Also, since it's a resort, that means lots of children, and I mean LOTS. If you're a family with young children, I suppose it's a good fit. It wasn't for us. Secondly, I believe there were 5-6 elevators. I know one was out of service. We sometimes had to wait for 3 different elevators opening for one that had room to go to the lobby. They were packed. Very inadequate. The air conditioning system was noisy and made odd whining sounds during the night. The refrigerator was TINY. No microwave. Lastly, we went to check out at 9:45 a.m. and discovered the checkout line was about 20 minutes long and looked like a line at Disney World. 2 staff members assigned to check regular guests out. Completely inadequate. Left a VERY sour taste. We were actually happy to leave!"
Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk

"Breakfast saved alot of money. Pool was crowded but that’s to be expected. Great close walk to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Staff were friendly. The only downside is our room was by the elevators which were very loud. There was also a parking garage across the street that’s alarm was shrill which also kept us up at night. This was not the hotels fault but you want to get a room on the other side of the building."
