"There was a roach in my room"

"For starters I tried to check in at almost 5pm. Room was reserved well well before that. I show up and had to wait 30 minutes to see if the room was cleaned. Check in was 3. They had plenty of time to do so. Crackheads and drug deals outside. Get in room. Dirty towels. No hot water at all in the shower even after 20 minutes. Tv remote broken. One sheet on nasty mattress and a cover over it the thickness of the one and only sheet. Mattress was sunken in two pillows that you buy at dollar general or likewise. No refrigerator or microwave. A broken town table and mismatched chairs. Had ants on the floor and spiders crawling on us in the bed. Woman screaming. At 1 in the morning a guy calling my room 5 times telling me he’s a class 3 sex offender and he has to notify all new tenants/ patrons he’s a sex offender for multiple children rapes as part of his release. I had to unolug the phone and lock the door. He was banging on it till 2 am. The shower didn’t drain after ice cold shower! No new toilet paper half a roll from previous person or persons. Checked in at 5 took till 4 am for the a.c. Which looks like it’s never been cleaned and half broken to get the room cool enough to sleep. At 7 a.m. I had enough was ready to leave. Check out at 11 and at 7 a.m. I had Warwick police questioning me and why I was in my car and showed them I had a room for the night. I was harassed for nearly 20 minutes. I finally had to tell him arrest me or “F”worst stay in over 30 yrs"

"The worst property I’ve ever stayed at, can’t believe it’s on Expedia. There is no reception, ur key is an app online which I had to wait an hour outside the place to get when checking in as no one was responding and this key also disabled during my stay meaning I couldn’t get back in and had to wait a further 3 hours for a response to make it work. No blackout curtains meaning ur room is fully bright by 5/6 am, I was right next to the main door which slammed all night too including people knocking as their online key wouldn’t work. There was also a line of drugs in bathroom which hadn’t been cleaned and blood stains on my pillow we just had to deal with as the person I was emailing didn’t seem to care about. Location is in a dodgy area as well although quite close to city, it is defo not worth saving money compared to properties around imo."

"Beautiful building, but some issues. Bathrooms are shared, not in the rooms. There are rooms with toilets, but most rooms do not have a toilet, and the showers are all in the hallway bathrooms. This is not clearly explained in the listing. Last month was my first and only stay so far. The door locks have number codes, but the locks are falling off the doors so it’s a problem getting it unlocked. I told them to fix those locks, because the screws were loose. The rooms are clean and beautiful. There is a shared kitchen, to cook in, and a big beautiful deck. The location is wonderful. No person is at the property, so check in advance to put down your deposit so you will get the codes to get in the front door, and to get into your room. When I did start texting with someone, I was able to get answers and I also got my room changed. One of the rooms said “river view”, but it was just a slight little edge of the river through a window behind the bed which was covered! The listing was corrected and they gave me a real river view room. Also, I said I did not know from the listing that the bathrooms were in the hallway and the new room they gave me did have a toilet and sink. Frankly, having multiple bathroom options could be a good thing, because if you are staying with another person, you can use any bathroom outside the room. Great place, but know when you go. The listing needs to be updated to be truthful, because it’s a beautiful place, big rooms, and great location."
