In the face of the COVID-19 outbreak, travelling today comes with more challenges than usual. Have a read over these useful tips before jumping on your flight to Joe Island:

• Investigate if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before committing to a flight. Also check if there are any requirements you'll have to follow on arrival, such as taking a COVID-19 test.
• You're required to wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask for ID purposes when asked by a TSA officer.
• Instead of handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, position it directly on the reader yourself. When that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA is now allowing passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will have to be removed from your bag for screening.
• To minimize handling during screening, place personal items such as your phone and loose change into your carry-on rather than the bins.
• Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Separating food from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA officer will need to touch and open your bag for inspection.
