"Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly staff member. Shortly afterward, I went to my room. Upon entering, we noticed stains on the comforter and immediately notified the staff. However, we were instructed to replace the bedding ourselves, which was disappointing and inconvenient. Also the pillows were not comfortable all."

"Just stayed one night passing through. I hate couldn’t stay more!! The Room 8 was wonderful. On the end at the pool, great parking, wonderful view. So cute inside. Rose did a wonderful job cleaning the room. And Holly had a beautiful breakfast laid out in the morning!! Love, love!!!"

"The breakfast was ok. The room? Well…. Don’t bother…. Stay somewhere else! Mold on shower walls and tub. Yuk! Toilet did not flush every time. Bathroom sink out of order. Totally clogged. Had to shave, brush teeth, etc., and wash hands using bathtub faucet. Very back breaking. Water on floor at foot of bed when checking in. Office gave me 2 towels to clean up mess. They did not even offer to clean up. Next time I will stay elsewhere. Once is enough."

"Parking was easy and cheap. The front desk staff was friendly and very informative. The aesthetic of the entire hotel was on point. The lobby, hallways and room were exceptionally clean for my standards. The beds and linens were so comfortable. We stayed during the week so the environment was quiet and laid back. The fitness center was very up to date and clean. The pool area was very nice even though it rained most of our trip. The courtyard area was adorable although we didn’t utilize it. We had our young child with us and didn’t get to take advantage of the restaurant on site but the menu and ambience looked amazing. There was also several nice turfed areas for our little one to run around and play, one with hammocks. We did stay in a double room and not a train room due to this being a last minute trip but the husband and I are planning on returning for an adults trip. We ate at several restaurants around the hotel within walking distance and took advantage of some of the fun things around the hotel area within walking distance. "

"My stay at The Read House was outstanding from start to finish. The hotel beautifully blends historic charm with modern comfort, and the staff made every part of the experience welcoming and enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable, the public spaces were stunning, and the location made it easy to explore downtown Chattanooga. One of the highlights was taking the haunted room tour. Even if you’re not a believer in ghost stories, the history behind the hotel is fascinating and adds a unique dimension to the experience. It was both entertaining and memorable. I highly recommend The Read House to anyone visiting Chattanooga. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, great hospitality, or a little mystery, this hotel delivers a truly special stay."
