This was a ‘bucket list’ four-day visit. We were not disappointed in any way - the views, the ambience, the comfort of our room in the main lodge, the willingness of the restaurants to accommodate my wife’s celiac condition, and above all the friendly, gracious attitude of ALL the staff. The rates are good for this resort because of the time of year.The resort is going thru significant renovations on all the bungalows so many construction people and trucks around the property and although it didnt ruin our stay, the resort website should advise people of this.Also the restaurant menus need a complete overall as they are very very limited!For breakfast I had pancakes , only two very small ones provided, not worth the money considering they offer a 3 egg breakfast for a very similar price,

Amazing location, reception staff and bell boy service was really really great & the main hall was comfortable and welcoming. Pool, hot tub and spa all also great. Not many dining choices while we were there (April), food in the hall was nice but not amazing for the price - service could be a little slow at times too. We stayed in a lodge room - it had a new bathroom and was very clean. The room itself was giving motel vibes though and I was expecting more for the price.

Prior the the fires, the only draw to this property was the setting. The view has been destroyed by the forest fires leaving only the overpriced rooms with 1970’s decor, with no allure to stay again.

I have stayed at JPL many times in the past. We love the location, the main lodge is beautiful and regardless, whether you go in the summer or in the winter is always beautiful. Unfortunately, over the last year, the quality of the service of the lounge, the quality and taste of the food serve has decreased significantly. What has increased significantly is the cost of the food that has not kept up with the quality or the quantity of the food mean main serve? I was surprised to know that at 5 PM on a Saturday you were not able to order nachos w/cheese at the lounge on the main lodge because they ran out of nachos. This is inconceivable. I will still recommend JPL to my friends but not to eat there until the quality of the prices improve.

Need to be more consistent in renovating the rooms the bathroom door was the original door and frame it didn’t match up with the decor/ also the door would open when closed The windows are old we felt cool draft coming in Not happy that there is no microwave in the room .
