My stay was marred by my unexpected health situation which suddenly happened and for which I had to cancel my remaining three nights' stay and return home. The hotel duty manager was duly informed and he promised to refund one night's stay. But when Hotel.com contacted them, the hotel refused to give a refund. Not a healthy business practice to say the least.

I booked one King size bed. However when i reached there i got one room with 2 beds side by side which was not my choice. However i was forced to accept that since there was no room or upgrade given by the hotel. While i requested them to put the beds together they took so much time to come and after fixing it there was height diff between the beds leading to unevenness and gaps between the beds. Due to which i had to experience back pain and poor sleep. Their response was luke warm on why they offered me a room with 2 beds when my booking was clearly mentioned as king size bed. Real pathetic front office service.

Poor service to non resident Indians.
If you are non resident indian you are treated as being inferior to the natives. In addition the reception staff when asked to arrange prepaid vehicles bill you for a large vehicle and contract to taxi owners who provide them a commission. In addition you pay for a dezine vehicle get transported in maruti suzuki vehicle with your suitcases on your lap on a ride from jammu to katra. To top it off the receptionist lies to the manager saying you did not say you had a party 4 who had been residing in the hotel were travelling from jammu to katra. The hotel structure is good ; the staff subservient to native Indians and quick to make a fast buck on NRI.

Inflexible and lacking empathy
The hotel and facilities are up to 5 star standard but the inflexibility of staff and their pedantic attitude towards the express use of hotel cars spoiled our stay. From the moment we checked in we were refused assistance to arrange for a cab to take us sightseeing, or even out to dinner. All trips outside the hotel, the staff insisted, must be made using the hotel cars at an exorbitant price. Their justification was safety. The hotel claimed they could only guarantee our safety by using a hotel car and having the driver stay with us. The cost was 3 times the price of a cab, but it was the inflexibility, and time wasting that occurred which ruined our stay. I won't be going back there and won't be recommending the hotel to anyone.

The best hotel in Jummu
The stay was great. The Sunday buffet was extravagant and with tons of choice. The rooms was neat and well designed. Recommended for family and business travelers. My only gripe was that we checked in at 2:30 and all the rooms were not ready had to wait 30-45 mins.
