Perfect hotel for a stop-off on way down to Perpignan. Hotel is just off the motorway, staff are friendly and room is clean and warm. Great value.

Service with a smile from the very helpful Marie. I didn’t want to have breakfast but she invited me to come in for a complimentary coffee in the morning; it’s the little things that count. I also appreciated having a bath as well as a shower. The provision of a kettle in the room was great too.

Great overnight stop
Very close to the motorway and a Carrefour petrol station. About 20 mins walk into the old centre of Issoire. The hotel is great for a stopover when travelling down to the Mediterranean. it functional rather than luxurious. We’ve stayed there many times and always had a good experience. Definitely recommend it.

The welcome at reception (Oliver, I think) was fantastic - a really polite & kind gentleman. He made sure our arrival and stay was as relaxing as possible. There wasn’t, however, enough staff to cater for the (very busy) dinner service. We did not complain as we could see the staff were doing everything possible and working hard. However, after 40 mins wait, we decided to eat elsewhere. We also felt the air conditioning could do with a service as it seemed to really struggle in the (admittedly exceptionally) hot weather. This was our second visit and overall we were pleased with our stay. We love the location as it’s a perfect stop off during our Spain to UK drive. Close to the motorway and a hyper market.

Good for an overnight stop or short break.
The usual Campanile formula: free parking, room of a good size with plenty of space for bags, some hanging space, bath/shower and free wifi. Just what was needed. It was only a short walk into Issoire town centre. The restaurant provided a good choice of meals and wine for a reasonable price. The restaurant staff were very welcoming and the service very efficient.

Clean, friendly, shame about the sound proofing!
The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, basic but had everything you need for an overnight stop, including a bath which was a bonus. Wi-fi was good, once I managed to get connected. Apparently, according to the staff it doesn’t like Apple phones or iPads but if you type in the connection address that reception can give you it connects ok. The one thing that lets this hotel down is the sound proofing. We were on the first floor with only one floor below us but the people in the room below were talking until 4 am and we could hear every word! There weren’t shouting or arguing, just talking but the noise came right through the floor into our room, keeping us awake. We tried to put the air conditioning on to mask the noise but that pumped out hot air and we were already too warm. I was told they don’t switch the air conditioning to cold until the beginning of June and this was the last week of May. We didn’t eat it the restaurant but it was quite busy. We didn’t see much of the local area but the hotel is just off a main route south so convenient for travellers. There was a large supermarket and fast food nearby if you need them.

A LAST MINUTE JOURNEY SOUTH.
The hotel is well located, just off the A75 and close to a Carrefour supermarket, where fuel prices are significantly cheaper than those on the autoroute. As a result of a family crisis, our son accompanied us at short notice. We had to move our visit forward by a week. The hotel personnel were exceptionally helpful, putting in a third bed at very short notice. Check in was speedy and efficient. The room was clean and tidy. We dined at the in-hotel restaurant in the evening. The food was of good value and quality. All staff were helpful, efficient and attentive. Check out was seemless and without difficulty. All in all, an excellent sojourn. A massive thank you to all concerned.

Not worth the money
The hotel was nice, very pleasant looking, and the room upon arriving was very clean and orderly. However, they charged me for a breakfast that I didn't even eat (which was not cheap), which made no sense because I didn't even get into town to check in until after 7pm. Additionally, when I left to check out the city for the day, I left the sign on the door, asking to clean my room. I came back that night and the only thing they had done was replace the towels and trash can in the bathroom. The bed was still as I left it, so the bedding was not changed, and the tea cups I had used were still how I left them that morning. Furthermore, I noticed upon my return that night, that my luggage was wide open, and my lingerie and other intimate items were out, on the bed, when I hadn't even opened that suitcase yet. The next morning, I was awake, laying in bed in my underwear, with the "do not disturb" sign on my door, and without knocking, or even announcing their entrance, the cleaning staff suddenly walked into my room, without warning. I am overall very disappointed in my stay, and would absolutely not return. If I could, I'd ask a refund. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Have stayed here before and was disappointed as room a little cramped, only one chair. Wifi good. TV could not get an English speaking news channel. Evening meal acceptable. Breakfast very poor with a shortage of cereals, croissants and no staff to ensure an adequate supply. Floor around food area was sticky - obviously floor not cleaned. Would be reluctant to use again.

Excellent staff and admirable location
Probably our favourite Campanile. Very convenient to the motorway, two minutes from the Carrefour fuel station, and with the most charming and cooperative staff. A regular overnight for us en route from Cherbourg to Beziers.

Good place to overnight between UK and Spain
Third time we have stayed at this hotel. Staff friendly and helpful especially with people who don't speak French. The menu is varied with local speciality offerings in both food and drink. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and special mention must be made of the super new showers.

Good Hotel For An Overnight Stay
The rooms at this updated Campanile are much improved from the old style. We stayed overnight on route to Spain and the hotel was perfect for this, close to the motorway and easy to find. The receptionist was great and really helpful. Restaurant surroundings were very pleasant and food was satisfactory. Only downside was the service we were left with the menus and then ignored by our waiter for at least 20 minures or more. The restaurant was quite full but taking a drinks order would have helped whilst we were waiting. Once we eventually managed to get the attention of one of the waitresses it was fine. Overall would say good hotel for one or 2 nights but maybe not for a longer stay

We used the campanille foR an overnight stay(driving to Spain) specifically because it had a resturant. My steak was fine but my wife's salmon was uncooked and cold in the middle. A second was served so overcooked it was hard.A free breakfast was offerred(to my wife) and at my insistence the price of her evening meal was removed from our bill, but had I not been assssertive we would have ended up paying for it. It was a poor offerring from a chain thats crows about their food-my wife did offer a free cookery lesson to their staff. Dissappointing

Het is een uitstekende hotel met vriendelijk personeel en het restaurant serveert prima maaltijden. Locatie is prima op doorreis en als je van plan bent om het meerendeel van de dag op pad te zijn. Net als de meeste budget hotels ligt het op een industrieterrein aan de rand van Issoire.
