"Rooms were dirty, mouldy walls, moudly curtains, previous guests make up and marks all over the headboard, a sink that took a day to drain, old tired bath that no one would ever want to relax in. Hooks hanging half out of the wall. Breakfast was poor, never seen a full English served with roast potatos and they tried to charge £2 for a coffee that isn't from a coffee press... The biggest joke here is that there were people complaining about the state of the rooms in front of us, with similar feedback so why this place decides to operate with such low standards is beyond me. The spa is so average, overcrowded and has strong leisure centre energy with low ceilings and nowhere near enough loungers. After our complaint about the room we were downgraded from a 'luxe' room and given a 'standard mews' room. The new room, whilst it didnt have a dirty headboard or mold, it still had a sink that wouldnt drain, a shower head that was old and broken (missing all the nozzles so water just poured through the holes. The room was such a weird and uncomforable space with no cupboard doors to the storage (leaving ugly fans and iron, hair dryer on show) and it didnt even have space for the stained and burnt ironing board which was therefore just left out in the room for display. Also the room had no mirror or a space to hang the towel and robes. The restaurant on site, we went to was Sage, don't waste your time. expensive, small, average potions. I dont have enough space for this part..."

"This property does not look much from the outside. However, one can’t judge a book by its cover. This property has been newly renovated. The staff are all exceptional and very helpful. The good is good. The amenities are great. A fabulous breakfast included in the price. Buffet continental and a-la-carte hot meals all included. Overly garden area. Very nice bar and lounge uk relax and a great location. Highly recommend."

"Great position, sunny afternoon siting lakeside was wonderful. The hotel was a little tired but clean. Breakfast was horrendous, went down at 9:30 ( breakfast finished at 10:30) and didn’t actually receive by cooked breakfast until 10:45, 1.5 hours for a very basic breakfast is just not acceptable. I would image the kitchen being under resourced, plenty of serving staff, just nothing coming out."

"We were late for breakfast but there was still a full choice of tasty wholesome food available . Bed very comfortable . Room clean and tidy. Staff were smiley and helpful where necessary. Great location for motorway links etc yet no traffic noise . The only negative experience we had was the car park arrangements charging £5 per night and feeling worried about being fined for overstay / incorrect parking etc. We will look elsewhere on our next visit to Chatham . "
