"I wish the coffee was better. On the 16th there was no plain creamer. It would be excellent customer service if the tables were inspected, cleaned, and wiped at least every 20 minutes.
Thank you."
"This place is a maze of hallways you can get lost easily. Breakfast was average and not a stand out since other hotels offer the same. Beats paying $30-40 eating breakfast out somewhere. Bathroom is small. Room is average. With all that said i will stay again since it's one of the better hotels in the area."
"This property feels more like a wedding and event venue than a motel or a place to spend a relaxing day. The view is absolutely stunning, and the owner (or staff member who assisted us) was very kind and welcoming. The location is also excellent, as it is close to Champlain Centre and only about 8 minutes from the falls, making it very convenient for visitors. The place is quite old, including the furniture, but it is also very clean and well maintained.
Because the building is old, there are a few drawbacks. We noticed some ants in the bathroom, and the smell of aged wood is quite strong throughout the property. If you are sensitive to odors or have allergies, this may be uncomfortable for you.
I booked a one-night stay with breakfast included through Expedia. Coming from Montreal, I paid CAD $357 for a lake-view room with two beds.I found the breakfast unexpected. It consisted of cake, yogurt, and a croissant, which felt more like a snack than a proper breakfast. There were no eggs, cheese, bread, or other substantial options. Considering the price I paid, I felt that the overall value did not match my expectations.
Overall, the beautiful location, amazing view, convenient access to local attractions, and friendly service were definite highlights, but the breakfast offering and the property's age related characteristics made the experience feel overpriced for what was provided."
"Very enjoyable stay. Close to local shops. Only negative is that the curtains in the room do not close. The design is around the ac unit and are open about 6 feet. Letting bright light and noise from the road through. But otherwise, 10/10 stay."
