"Cabin wasn’t clean, we have a 13 month old baby, so as soon as we moved the sofa towards the wall and pulled back the curtain, dead flies and food and could tell hoovering had just been swished around the floor and no furniture had been moved for many cleans. Amenities great for age 3 plus but lacking in things for 1 year olds. No area or pen or soft play or outdoor play that you can pop a 13 month old down in, so fighting for our lives a little. He loves a swim and we hired bikes and he loves a bike ride and hike but hard to not put him down to play anywhere easily. Liked the baby disco and meeting the big bear on an evening but again will be best when age 3+. Would come again but not with a baby - cots cost extra in our accommodation and should offer a high chair in the cabins too. Oh and I had no signal or WiFi hardly anywhere - I’m on o2!"

"Very quaint building …. Woke up to cows right next to you …. Owner was very helpful / charming /could not fault her ….. Bed was small …… Quilt was a winter one …. Or maybe it’s just so hot ….could have done with a sheet also …breakfast excellent"

"I have just stayed at The Fighting Cocks for the weekend. Unfortunately we choose the weekend of the A31 closure and the New Forest fires! Resulting in a lot of traffic passing the pub. Not their fault. The staff were very helpful and friendly the room was great, clean and comfortable and breakfast was included and really tasty. We had an evening meal on the Saturday which was ample and reasonably priced. All in all a great little stop over."

"Great studio style room with space to sit and dine. Excellent kitchen facilities for a longer stay if needed. Fabulous breakfast delivered with warm and fresh bread and pastries as well as fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese and condiments. Really well done."

"Really lovely relaxing place for a hot summer day. The outside pool was a bonus! Room was clean although beds for teens were far too small. Restaurant was nice. Some parts of the hotel look tired & need a refresh but we’ll definitely be back!!"

"Firstly, if you’ve come here for the wildlife then you won’t be disappointed. When we first arrived there were two donkeys in the pub garden ambling about! The second day we awoke to three gorgeous horses outside of our bedroom window! There are some lovely walks from the B&B, which pass streams, woodland, and open fields. The bedroom and en-suite were spacious, nicely decorated and clean. There were some nice touches in the room such as homemade flapjacks and pillow spray beside the bed. We had a Sunday roast which was decent. I recommend the crème brûlée for dessert. We had breakfast included, and there were lots of veggie options as well as the traditional full English etc. There was also a complimentary buffet with pastries, cereals, toast and other continental usuals. Overall a fantastic find and we would definitely return."
