Search Country Houses in Hottentots-Holland Nature Reserve

A perfect country house set amongst a vineyards, with comfort and service levels to match. Holden Manz is a working vineyard and produces some very nice wines; you can try these as part of an organised wine tasting, or with dinner in the very nice restaurant on site. The house itself has very generous and beautifully furnished public areas, as well as a pool area, gardens, an orchard, and of course the vineyard itself. I stayed in the Oliphant Suite which has panoramic views over the vines,...

Big room with many thoughtful features and a great breakfast. The hotel has two pools (one heated) and a fabulous onsite restaurant (fine dining quality). We made use of the free shuttle to ferry us to the wine tram.

We could not fault our stay at La Cle. Great location within easy walk to the high street and restaurants / shops. Melanie, the manager was fabulous as were all the staff. Very welcoming and recommended and arranged several restaurants for us - all delicious. The hotel gardens were beautifully maintained and the breakfasts superb - especially the scrambled egg! We did not eat there in the evening but other guests raves about the experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending this...

Great stay! Friendly staff and relaxed self serving bar!

We’ve stayed at Marianne twice now and thoroughly enjoyed both visits. The staff are very welcoming and the property and estate has a lovely, relaxed feel. There’s plenty of opportunity to walk in the vineyards and enjoy wine and nice food in the restaurant.

My husband and I spend out last two nights at Majeka House and couldn't have been been better taken care of. Majeka is a truly luxury boutique hotel - in a sea of copy cats, they are highly original. The design is super fun and every detail has been thought through. The food at Makaron - the in house restaurant - is some of the best in the country. And the wine selection is incredible (thanks Esmy). We had a room with a semi-private pool - super comfy and they think of everything. Service is...

We really loved our stay. The wine in the room was a thoughtful touch. The pool is a real highlight!

Beautiful room Very friendly staff Lovely dinner

Unexpected gem. Short drive from Cape Town & not long to drive in to Stellenbosch. Rooms lovely & what a luxurious bathroom. Staff friendly.

Ideal, 30 min drive from CPT airport. Security on gate present all night for late arrivals, so fine to get in late if flight delayed. Breakfast very good, restaurant in grounds amazing and great value. Rooms a bit dated but comfy large beds so no problem sleeping. A great bar for arrival for a few nights in exploring the Stellenbosch area. Will book again !

Great place to relax for a few days. The rooms are a good size and the bed was very comfortable. They could be finished off a bit better but hey that was part of the rustic charm. Breakfast although limited was very tasty, albeit the coffee could be better and the mugs a bit bigger! The onsite restaurant serves great thin pizzas which were very tasty. Staff were all friendly and very helpful If you want to stay just outside of Stellenbosch in a comfortable and relaxing environment...
