  • Hever Castle was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry VIII. The castle went through a number of owners since the Boleyn family after passing to the Crown on the death of Anne's father, Thomas Boleyn . In 1903 it was acquired by William Waldorf Astor, an American millionaire, who restored it in Tudor style using, as far as possible, the same tools as Tudor craftsmen.
