"I think that this would be a great hotel for a weekend getaway if you happen to live somewhere in the UK or even Europe. I was quite jetlagged upon arrival (9am) after 24 hours in transit over several time zones. I had asked in advance if I could check in early. I did not receive a response. Check in was officially 3pm. Upon arrival, they suggested that for 20 pounds I could check in at 2pm instead of 3pm. I was able to leave my luggage but was absolutely exhausted and had to wander around...

"Property in great location, friendly/helpful reception staff and room clean. Was disappointed by lack of daylight in room. Room 124 faced out to a brick wall with industrial bins underneath. Room had a bit of a smell to it, perhaps from previous occupants. Noise from bar/club underneath until early hours. Neither of us found bed comfortable and along with the noise didn't sleep well at all."

"Lovely hotel, great location, room really nicely equipped and decorated. Easy check in/out process with staff on hand to assist if required. Small niggles were a loose toilet seat and pixelated tv channels but we were only there one night so didn’t impact our stay much, notified staff on check-out. Will likely stay again."

"Good hotel, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the area is not great during the day and at night. The rooms are quite small, so great for a one or two night stay but no longer and for the price I would have expected proper cups for hot drinks and glassware and to have the tea caddy redone when the room was getting cleaned. On a positive note the staff were extremely friendly and helpful."

"Charlton George Hotel, is situated very near the train station approx 1min walk , First impression of the Hotel very Clean and very New and Modern looking, excellent lifts very spacious. On arrival Staff was polite, Rooms are very modern and Clean , air conditioned but no windows to open just a solid glass,the room felt stuffy no fresh air gets in, you could see dust flying around not good if you are asthmatic. Strange smell , again no fresh air or windows to open to allow fresh air in, Id mentioned this to receptionist, she says she will try and find another room that has windows, however she had forgotten to look into it, so another night of stuffy room by morning my nose was very dry and choked up. Food was excellent, staff very helpful and friendly .. I would have liked to stay here again as the area is in a Central part of Glasgow which has plenty of pubs, diners and fashion shops. Music entertainment and theatres .."
