Lovely friendly staff, excellent service and food and room was clean. The hotel had beautiful scenery

Visited this hotel in business. Fabulous hotel set in beautiful surroundings with great food, service and facilities. Highly recommended!

When were we there: August 2019 for the jazz festival Overall: Great venue, with very characteristic accommodation, a great selection of elements in the hotel to experience and explore - two restaurants, bar, theatre, and a cellar with archaeological interest. The hotel even offers an audio guide to explore it. Rooms: Rooms are split across two buildings, depending on whether you go for "style" or "art" rooms - we were swapped to an art room, which was really impressive to experience,...

Warm welcome, friendly English speaking staff. Room was above expectation for the price. Seemed new. Sunday service was booked out at the restaurant which is a good sign. But it's a long way to anything else if you don't drive. Included breakfast was good quality buffet. Dedicated garage for bikes. Excellent location amongst the low southern slopes of the Schwarzwald.

The hotel was lovely and situated in a quiet, beautiful spot. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were simple, yet comfortable and clean. I'm used to a more substantial breakfast coming from the UK, but it was adequate and healthy. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location lovely rooms and parking

One of the most welcoming check ins I have experienced, I won’t spoil it if you haven’t bee before, wonderful place with its very individual charm, and the are just absolutely lovely, and the location is beautiful, very personal, my new favourite hotel .

Excellent traditional German guesthouse, family owned and they cared about their property and most importantly their clients, food and service excellent, location perfect for the Black Forest experience and for visiting Schaffhausen and Zurich, it's also better value than Swiss hotels.

We have stayed here several.times now and as always it was exactly as expected friendly staff good food and an ideal location for our o ward travels

Nice, clean hotel with an excellent restaurant.

You need the frequent buses which will take you to Friedrichshafen at around 15 mph in the bus lanes. DO NOT TRY TO DRIVE INTO THE TOWN! You can not comfortably walk the 5km to the centre and you will find it hugely stressful to try and drive/park.

Lovely stay in Überlingen - a great base to explore. The rooms are a great size and have all the amenities you might require. The bathroom is dated but functional and the shower was great. There's no AC so we kept the windows open. The hotel is very close to St. Nikolaus Münster - the church bells start ringing from 6am (including every quarter hour) so beware if you're a light sleeper! There is rarely someone on reception but you can phone to speak to someone. There is no car park but...

Nice rooms and bathrooms. Restaurant staff really helpful. Postcode took us somewhere miles away up a mountain. Communication was in German and sent pre-arrival emails that were really important because there's not 24/7 staff at the hotel.
