10/10 Excellent
"This hotel has mainly kept it's original turn of the century interior and exterior appearance and has not been ruined by modern cheap makeovers. There is a sense of nostalgia, tradition, quality and 1920s English upper class, a place where Poirot would stay, if Agatha Christie has known about it. The breakfast was plentiful, there were varied evening meal menus, which were fine and there was also complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day. There was a good selection of drinks at the bar. The staff were really hospitable, the other guests were very polite, the dogs were friendly (a dog friendly hotel), The hotel has it's own gardens which are beautiful and if that is not enough, the hotel is opposite Blenheim Gardens park. The hotel is a short walk to the beach and the "Old Ship Aground""

"Hotel is nice, we were disappointed after requesting a double room on a lower floor we were given a twin room on the top floor! Not the best for an anniversary celebration. The room itself was nice but the dressing table area was too high to sit at to do hair/makeup . Had a nice restaurant and pub attached and the breakfast was excellent as was the meal in the attached pub."
