"Wonderful stay in a traditional machiya. Stayed in Samurai room with terrace which was perfect to relax in after long day. Our highlight was omakase dinner with the best sushi we've ever had! Western style breakfast was delicious and not too heavy. Took chef’s advice to take evening walk to see Miyajima at night and it was perfect to see the torii gate and shrine at night without the crowds. "Wonderful stay in a traditional machiya. Stayed in Samurai room with terrace which was perfect to relax in after long day. Our highlight was omakase dinner with the best sushi we've ever had! Western style breakfast was delicious and not too heavy. Took chef’s advice to take evening walk to see Miyajima at night and it was perfect to see the torii gate and shrine at night without the crowds. If you can spare a night here to escape the city and experience the island in the evening would highly recommend! Amenities are comfortable and clean though note that the bathroom and toilet are shared with the other room. No one else was staying at the same time so no issue for us. Also will be sleeping in futon you need to set up yourself."
