"Loved Old Bar. The facilities were excellent. We did not have direct views of the ocean but could hear it 24/7. The swimming pool jumping pillow play room pedal cars all kept my kids happy. Our room was a little close to our neighbors for our liking but they spent most of the day away. The rooms were clean and the beds were so so comfy. Can't wait to go again. "

"Location was lovely, nice walks along the river. ( Spotted a Grey Nurse shark). Enjoyed a meal at the bowls club nearby with discount from the motel. Drove to Port Macquarie and had a lovely time there. Went to the Koala rescue centre too. Room on the small side, had to live out of suitcase due to tiny wardrobe etc. Although there was a microwave, fridge & kettle it was all a tight fit. Try for a larger room. Pleasant staff."

"Filthy and completely unacceptable. Do not stay here. This place looks nothing like the photos. I understand older style motels, but there's no excuse for the level of filth here, old can still be clean, and this absolutely wasn't. The room clearly hasn't had a proper clean in a long time. There was heavy build up of grime and dust around the base of the toilet, and the shower hadn't been cleaned at all, hair throughout the recess and visible grime in the grout. The recess was damp when I checked in, as though some one had showered and left before I arrived. The fridge was also in poor condition, with spills and residue that hadn't been wiped out for quite some time. Even the front of the TV and microwave had marks and splatters on them. Coffee and tea was on offer but no coffee or teacups? The only positive was that the linen appeared clean, which I made sure to check. The setup of the room is also impractical, the TV faced the opposite wall, not the bed, so you're forced to sit on an uncomfortabel chair to watch it. The only window is the beside the door which faced into a small common courtyard. If you had your curtain open, the room opposite or people walking past can see straight into yours. No bedside table either. I spoke with other guests in passing during my stay, and they shared the same experience. And the kicker is, this cost me $157 a night! If you are looking for a clean budget friendly option go to Crescent Motel or Marco Polo, much better! "

"I loved everything about my stay at Halliday’s Point holiday park. Daisy and I were made very welcome. Our cabin was perfect for the two of us. I had great coffee from the coffee truck each morning. The beach up the road was paradise. I wish I’d stayed a week, and next time I will. She says woof! Woof!"

"The room that i was in this time needs a cockroach treatment. It had a number of german roaches from infant to adult less the dozen i killed"

"Quick night stay as Taree was booked out. Room was great and reasonable quiet. Only nasty was the room next door had a smoker and our door was open with just the screen door and the smoke wafted in before we had even entered the room."
