"We stay here just about every summer. Sometimes we book a cabin instead, but we enjoy our stays here. This year it wasn’t quite as clean & there’s a mold issue. Never had this problem in the past. The mold issue is surely caused by guests getting the carpet wet. It would be ideal for the owner to switch to hard floors so people aren’t getting sick. I’m extremely allergic to it so I had awful allergy issues the whole time. I did ask about a cleaner room but he said all the rooms have mold because of guests coming into the rooms wet from the pool. My son said he couldn’t breathe well in the & he’s recovering from cancer. So this wasn’t ideal. Also, the staff aren’t cleaning in places they think guests can’t see or won’t notice (like behind beds & in corners). There was old food, etc. in these areas. They never gave us enough towels for our whole family (4 of us) in a double queen bed room, though I didn’t bother to ask for more. I just used the ones I brought. However, their towels were clean & soft & smelled very clean. The beds are very comfortable & the pool is very well kept. The owner is very kind & helpful. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Just not quite as much as prior years. As far as the hotel options in the area this place is by far the best option. Plus there’s a nice pool, a cute yard swing, a grill & picnic tables. And it’s right by everything you’ll want to check out."
