WARNING: tourist trap? We had spent 3 weeks in Vietnam prior to booking this so we had reasonable expectations to the quality of the hotel. At the “impressive boutique hotel,” The lobby has been converted into a nail parlour and foot spa There’s was an overwhelming stench of harsh chemicals, with subtle undertones of acrid standing water, resulting in a truely unbearable stench throughout the room. The bedroom had an extractor fan installed which gives an indication to how bad it is. The ceiling was only partially covered in mould, so that’s one positive aspect? It looked like there was a family of rats happily living right outside our window so at least someone was enjoying themselves. The air conditioner partially worked, but in all honesty we didn’t stay in the room long enough to find out. We were hardly expecting luxury accommodation and we selected hotels based on location. The problem here is that this hotel was a health risk. After 30 minutes in the room I was constantly coughing and partner developed a headache. We went back to reception to express our concerns. The receptionist was very apologetic and actually quite polite. He offered to move us to another ‘cleaner hotel’ for an extra 20%. The hotel felt like a genuine health risk and shouldn’t be operating in its current capacity. Offering guest to stay at another hotel for extra money was concerning and gave the impression that this hotel is some kind of tourist trap. We left immediately afterwards

This is a partner hotel to the Impressive hotel located opposite (where breakfast is served and reception is located) Room rates are cheaper as rooms are older and there is no lift. Reception area of Impressive Boutique hotel is now a nail bar.

The hotel was not like the pictures online suggested . That bathroom was tired and old, but the beds were great. Also the lobby area was a building site and the hammering and jackhammering woke us in the morning. The hotel should not be operating at full price, since the facilities were just not there.

Great stay and amazing location!
My stay was awesome! The hotel owner and staff are super friendly and accommodating and made my stay superb. The only reason I did not give five stars was because of the thin walls and I didn’t sleep well because I could hear every noise and voice even if someone was talking downstairs. Unfortunately I am the person that needs complete silence to fall and stay asleep, so next time I will bring ear plugs. Other than that the room was basic but clean. The breakfast was included and was awesome! Location was a two minute walk to the cathedral, 7 minute walk to the markets and lake, and 15 minute walk to train station....and it was prime location to reach any of the sights in old quarter. So many great places to eat (particularly duongs restaurant which is amazing and hard to get into since it’s packed all of the time so make a reservation, but only a 3 minute walk). The staff was always friendly, smiling and helpful. They stayed patient and positive while I was a bit of a wreck trying to get a taxi to the airport because I was late. Thanks guys! You are awesome! It was a good value for money and I would stay here again when I return to Vietnam in the future.

Pros: location, breakfast, friendly staff Cons: extreme noise from road below, dated room that felt damp upon entering Overall we feel we could have stayed at a cheaper place with the same amenities.

Shower room needs updating. When fire start there is no emergency exit at all.the entrance door is locked in the evening and all windows are locked.

Well managed and clean
A good hotel, managed by the Impressive hotel, located opposite. There are plans to install a lift. Some room furniture is in need of replacement. Convenient location next to Cathedral and 5 minutes from Hoan Lien lake. Airport transfers are pricey.

Quaint Hotel on a Hip Street
Impressive Hotel is amazing, especially for the price. I would say our room didn't quite match what was pictured, it was a bit older. But we actually loved the charm. The street is actually very quiet compared to the nearby areas. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.

My wife and I stayed here our last night of a one-week stay in Northern Vietnam. Pros: -Very friendly, accommodating, and helpful staff -Excellent location -Clean room (our room even had a garden patio) -Arranged for early morning airport transportation CONS: -No elevator (not an issue for us, though) -Very, very firm bed (We live and travel throughout Asia, and this was probably the firmest bed we've slept on here) Very much recommend for those wanting an affordable hotel in a great area of Hanoi.

Place for great family holidays.
It was our second stay at the Impressive and we’d keep going back. We had a great time. Breakfast was terrific, the staff fantastic and the local area is really fun.

Great value and service. Ideal for our family.
We stayed for six nights with three kids 10 and under. Staff are excellent and great with the kids. Buffet breakfast was a big hit - cereals, toast and fruit, but also a hot menu to order from (at no extra charge). Bathroom is very basic and we were all in one room, but it was well worth it for the price, location and excellent service. Be sure to ask the team for food recommendations!

Amazing service! Case in point; we were searching for a certain pair of Vietnamese sandals that one of our tour guides wore and we could not find them in any of the shops and no one could offer any advise. We asked the concierge at the hotel and she showed us an area where we could find them, but it was too far to visit before we had to leave. Then she randomly pulled out a brand new pair that just happened to the be the perfect size, and gave them to us a gift! Never have I experienced such generosity from a hotel. Truly impressive!

Love the location very much, it is 5 mins walk to the church and really stunning look no matter is day or night view of the church. It located in old quarter and u can simply walk around to buy things and food! Quite a lot of good cafes near by and personally recommended those local coffee, very strong! Breakfast provided by the hotel is great, western or local also good choice. The staff is friendly, speak well english and we had a room over 4th floor and it is spacious enough for us. Will definitely come back again!

Great hotel ever.
Staff was always available, incredible kindness. Hearty breakfast, excellent and for all tastes; serving fresh products or cooked on demand! Ideal location, close to cathedral and lake, easy to discover the "old Hanoi" on foot. Neighborhood that falls asleep around 22h to resume life in the early morning. A choice of restaurant or food-street I recommend the local sandwiches made in front of you, or the many cafes to land and let yourself be carried by the rhythm of a bustling city.

Excellent boutique hotel very close to the downtown. The service is very good. Every member of the staff - Zenke, Alek, Stephanie, and everyone else - were working very hard to exceed expectations. They helped us with local tours, airplane tickets, etc. They made our stay very special.

Excellent stay, highly recommend.
Perfect stay! The hotel is lovely, centrally located. The owner Zum is great- gave us fruit to enjoy in the room and even offered to take us around on his moto to find mangosteens! Really nice spot, perfect location, perfect bit of luxury after trekking in Sa Pa. I would definitely stay there again.

Great location and great service.
The rooms are very clean and well equipped. I have no complaints about this 3 star hotel in Hanoi. Staff were some of the best we met in Vietnam and you can trust them 100%, which is a great nice thing to have there. The bell boy was very hard working with a charming smile

Nice service, comfort, quality and breakfast for a hotel located in the heart of the life of HANOI: market just out!. The room was clean and great comfort. First-rate starting position for the chaos
Very good, central location near the Hoan Kiem lake, Cathedral and direct access to the lively old town. Excellent price-performance ratio. Staff is very helpful and more or less prepared for everything. Priced and safe transport from and to the airport, Local Sim card in the package directly at the front desk - one saves a lot of effort. We recommend!

We will be back, definitely recommend this hotel
On the occasion of a stay in Hanoi, we chose this hotel. We did not regret! The rooms are big, the bedding is good. The hotel is in an avenue with lots of traffic, but that did not bother us. The breakfast is one of the best we could taste during our visit to Vietnam. What we liked the most? The quality of the staff! They were very kind to us (a special thank you to the girl at the reception). In short, if you want a good time, choose this hotel.

路地を挟んで斜め向かい、Aquarius hotelと併記されている別棟の５階でした。階段しかないとは知らず大変でした。 バスタオルに髪の毛が絡まっていたり、バスマットにはしみが残っていたり、、色々残念でした。 シャワーの水圧もかなり低かったです。 早朝から中国人ファミリーが大声で騒いでいてくつろげませんでした。 朝食は本館でおいしくいただきました。こちらはエレベーターが有り、欧米の宿泊客しか見かけませんでした。 他の方のレビューを読んで、本館と別棟でかなりの差があるのでは？と感じました。

Vi upplevde helheten som fantastisk. Rummet var lite äldre men med mycket charm. Det städades varje dag och personalen gjorde allt för att vi skulle trivas. Frukosten åt vi på "moderhotellet" mittemot och den kan vi inte annat än vara nöjda med. Stor fruktbuffe, omelett eller annat i äggväg, flingor mm som barnen gillade, mm, mm. Personalen ordnade tågbiljetter till ett mycket bra pris åt oss och ordnade även med transport med taxi inom Hanoi. Läget är superbt i gamla stan med gångavstånd till det mesta.

정말 편하게 잘 쉬다 왔습니다 일단 위치가 정말 좋아요 호안끼엠 호수 근처인데, 차가 많이 다니지 않는 작은 골목에 있어서 밤에 시끄럽지도 않고요 그러면서 올드타운에 가까이 위치해있어 정말 최고의 위치입니다. 호텔 직원들도 모두 정말 친절합니다^^ 조식도 깔끔하게 맛있고요, 가짓수가 많지는 않지만 과일이 종류별로 많아서 정말 만족스러웠어요! 특히 망고 맛집입니다.. 망고가 아침으로 제공된다는 것은.. 크으.. 다시 가도 여기에 묵고싶어요^^ 가격을 생각하면 더 만족스러운 호텔입니다.

離教堂非常近 在教堂旁的小巷裡頭 很熱鬧方便 但是晚上睡覺也不會吵耶! 飯店房間大 三個行李箱放著 也不會擁擠 櫃台人員友善親切熱情 也有會說中文的人員 房間整潔 早餐也很好吃 是一次很棒的住宿體驗

立地もよく快適でした
大教会のそばでわかりやすいところにあります。周辺にはコンビニ、フォーの美味しいローカルの店やカフェなどもあり立地は非常によいと思います。スタッフはみなフレンドリーで対応も気持ちよかったです。あと、お湯がいつでもしっかり出たので快適でした。
