Nosso retorno ao hotel foi decepcionante. Voltamos após alguns anos, com muita vontade e boas lembranças, mas nos deparamos com uma estrutura comprometida — suja, desgastada e distante da qualidade que um dia nos encantou. Agradecemos pela gentileza do hotel em realizar a alteração no tipo de suíte, porém, percebemos que o espaço necessita de uma reforma urgente. As camas são pequenas e desconfortáveis, os móveis estão antigos, e tanto o ar-condicionado quanto a televisão apresentaram falhas constantes, ligando e desligando sozinhos diversas vezes. Em vários pontos, a estrutura geral encontra-se em estado preocupante. O motivo do nosso retorno, o café da manhã — que antes superava inclusive muitos cafés coloniais de Gramado — foi a maior decepção. O que antes era um banquete variado e farto, hoje se resume a um café simples e pobre em opções. Solicitamos reposições e, para nossa surpresa, fomos informados de que não seriam feitas. As geladeiras que antes exibiam frios frescos e variados agora estão praticamente vazias, e a tradicional mesa de frutas, que tanto apreciávamos, não existe mais. O mesmo ocorreu com os salgados, agora muito limitados. É triste ver um hotel tão elegante, com um bosque tão belo e uma história tão marcante, chegar a esse ponto de descuido. Hoje, guardaremos nossas lembranças com base no que o hotel já foi — pois, infelizmente, ele não é mais o mesmo. Agradecemos o respeito dos funcionários. Contudo, diante da experiência atual, não retornaremos.

O hotel é lindo, com uma decoração antiga incrível que rende belíssimas fotos. O entorno é cheio de verde, uma natureza maravilhosa, e uma trilha para passear por dentro da mata. Os pontos negativos foram: cama desconfortável, tinha um buraco no meio (acho que juntaram dois colchões de solteiro), roupa de cama e banho não estavam 100% limpas. O café da manhã foi o pior de todos os lugares que já estive. Por ser um hotel grande, achei que seria bem melhor. Pouca variedade, bolos secos, nada saboroso. Me surpreendi negativamente. E a senhora da recepção não era simpática, nem atenciosa.
