We were so pleased we chose Hotel Grimsborgir for our stay. It is in a beautiful location, easy to get to lots of different places of interest and the scenery is amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the accommodation was so comfortable and warm. The hot tub was a lovely addition.

This trip was a gift for my wife, to say she was pleased would be an understatement! Having never been to Iceland before and not really knowing a lot about the country, I used the reviews on Expedia to make my choice of where to stay. My wife and I were both very pleased with the accommodation at Frost and Fire. I opted for a superior suite, as I read the standard rooms are on the small size. Our room was very pleasant and clean, with a buautiful view of rivers and hills from the balcony....

Brilliant location for our road trip.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the breathtaking location, very well thought through, with nice and welcoming staff and delicious restaurant

Great location for touring the attractions in the area. Breakfast at Hotel Geysir was top notch.

The hotel is in a great location and very comfortable inside. The bedrooms and shower rooms aren't huge but big enough for a couple for a short stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly (as were all the Icelandic people we came across), in particular Magdalena. The restaurant was excellent too.

The hotel certainly lives up to its name,a very impressive lobby. The reception staff were very efficient and friendly, our room was on the 11th floor and the view of the city night and day was spectacular. The breakfast was very extensive and very good,as was the bar. When i go back I will be staying at The Grand.

Very nice, clean place with friendly and helpful staff. One of the highlights of my Iceland trip. I highly recommend.

A perfectly positioned hotel for exploring all that Reykjavik has to offer. Very helpful staff who were always happy to see you and assist with any enquiries. Breakfast was brilliant and a great start to each day 😀

We enjoyed our stay, although the distance from the main town was further than expected.

A lot of reviews mentioned the hotel having a poor location. For us (appreciating that we are able to walk and others may not be able to), the location wasn't a problem at all. It took us 30 minutes to walk to the sun voyager/ to the centre of town and was no issue. We did go in late Feb and there was a little bit of snow/ice on the paths - I can see how it might be more difficult in December/ Jan. However, if it is icy, there is a bus stop right by the hotel will will get you into to town in...
