From the moment we arrived, until the minute we left, we were treated as valued guests. The hotel is based on a working horse farm offering a variety of rides and the horse theme is carried throughout the hotel, with rooms named after horses and even horse shoes for curtain tie backs which is a lovely touch. The rooms are spacious, warm, comfortable and have most of what you need. We were loaned a hairdryer during our stay and there was a flat screen TV with more than usual satellite...

Staff in the hotel were all pleasant and helpful, and rooms were nice and comfortable. I opted not to eat in the restaurant as I thought I'd be pushed for time to have breakfast before some of the organised tours starting at 8am, and generally decided to eat elsewhere in Reykjavik for dinner. Location wise, it's a quiet road just at the eastern edge of downtown, so just a few minutes walk away from various shops and restaurants. Also about 5 minutes walk from bus stop #12 which seems to be one...

Great location, clean and very helpful staff. Bus stop 13 is right outside the hotel and very convenient

The hotel certainly lives up to its name,a very impressive lobby. The reception staff were very efficient and friendly, our room was on the 11th floor and the view of the city night and day was spectacular. The breakfast was very extensive and very good,as was the bar. When i go back I will be staying at The Grand.

The hotel’s location was excellent and it had an elegant feel to it! Staff were very friendly and also welcoming too. Our room was upgraded on arrival also. I’d definitely recommend staying here to other travellers!

Super convenient good quality no frills hotel with nice bar, excellent breakfast and parking

Comfy beds, duvets and pillows. Good buffet breakfast. Staff friendly. Walking distance to centre of town. Easy pick up for tours. Bus stop 12. Right outside.

Comfortable and clean hotel in a good location, within easy walking distance of the harbour and town, and a few minutes away from the bus stop for excursion pick ups. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of options, and the staff were friendly and very helpful.

Hotel was picturesque, clean, located nearer the harbour part of town which meant it was quiet, but near enough to use the bus or walk into town. Small grocery shop next door. Property also had a cafebar within. Reception staff were helpful. More of a place for adults, but you could say that about the whole city.

A really great hotel, wonderful location for any of the excursions as right opposite the bus stop. Wonderful views from the Seaview room so we’re spending the extra few pennies.

Nice, modern, well appointed hotel in a historical building at the Northern end of central Reykjavik (close to the Harpa concert hall, a few minutes walk from Lækjargata, where one of the Flybus shuttles stops). Much of Reykjavik is easily walkable from this location. Comfortable rooms with good amenities. Pleasant and reassuringly expensive restaurant (though not terribly expensive for Reykjavik and there are somewhat more cost effective options within a few minutes walk if needed). The...

Great location, very expensive for a basic room

Clean rooms. Great breakfast!

Hotel is in a fab location, very central. I got the bus from airport to main station and about 15 minute walk. Very friendly staff, and the breakfast being included in price was a good start up for a day of exploring Iceland.

The hotel was very clean and the 2 receptionist girls were very helpful and friendly
