The south chapel was added in the 13th century. The 14th century north chapel > 1366835 used to be the chapel of the Kemp family, lords of the manor from 1324 until the early 20th century - the many memorials on its walls are to family members > 1366838. The north porch is a C15 addition. St Mary's has a magnificent 15th century hammerbeam roof with rows of angels attached to it. The octagonal font > 748803 is 14th century. The church was extensively restored in Victorian times and the furnishings date from this time, although some of the original bench ends have been retained. St Mary's church is open every day.

"Great hotel, check in was easy. The gym was great, pool was busy! Dinner was nice (Seabass), I chose to eat in the bar. Very peaceful location, I'd definately stay there again if I was ever in the area. "

"The staff throughout were courteous and helpful. Our room was quiet, clean, comfortable and well heated on a cold day. The breakfast buffet was plentiful - great choice of cold and hot dishes. Hotel is in a great location on the outskirts of Norwich and with free parking, we caught local taxi to get around. Didn’t use the pool this time though it was good several years ago. Will definitely return again"
