Be prepared for very poor air and noise pollution throughout the city. On top of the fumes produced by all forms of transport. During the winter Nov to Feb, which is also tourist season, the locals burn wood and old tyres to keep warm at night.

Enjoyed spending a little time in the place where I spent a few years in my childhood 60 years back. Loved the people.

Main reason to go would be Kamakhya Temple. Otherwise not a leisure spot.
