"The Cottage is a perfect choice if you want clean, quiet, and private accommodations that are walking distance to the Sudbury shops, to the meadows, and to public transportation. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and utensils and has a peaceful view of the garden and the meadows beyond. The bed is comfortable, the surrounding area is very quiet at night, and the shower has good water pressure and temperature. The owners are a lovely couple who are friendly and who also respect...

"We had a very pleasant stay with Maggie and Paddy at The Old Rectory. The accommodation was excellent as was the food at breakfast and dinner. A fine place to drive from to the outlying towns and villages."

"Visually the place makes a very good impact. Dinner, the food was excellent as were the staff.
Breakfast … we’d booked it at check in. We turned up to breakfast and there was nothing booked , the service at breakfast was okay , we did have to case up something.
But overall we had a very good stay and would return."

"Charming traditional B&B, nice room and excellent breakfast (extra charge). Hidden away in deepest rural Suffolk, various local pubs offering decent enough - if rather pricey - evening meal options (no evening meal available onsite). Had a quick dip in the 'refreshing' (outdoor) pool. Overall enjoyable short stay but felt the room rate was quite expensive for what we got."

"Great value and comfortable stay at the Rose and Crown Hotel for our weekend break in Colchester. Clean room, friendly staff, lovely historic building."
"Return guest.
Perfect for our needs, location spot on. Breakfast lovely, but Sunday was a little short on items, not up to usual standard. No plates available. so maybe a new staff member not used to breakfast service???
Room large, clean and comfy. In room drinks great, large cups, and if you run out go to restaurant and pick up more. No complaints. Bathroom standard fare, shower HOT and powerful, smallest gripe was temperature was tricky to select, small movement could have big change, but once set it was wonderful.

"I was assigned a room 1130. Once inside room looked until I needed to go to toilet and I saw the toilet seat was dirty. Someone had gone before me in the toilet probably a men as the seat was disgusting. I called the reception and they came after sometime and gave me another room. 3052 which was better but the toilet was for disable people, just a strange room exchange. Made me feel unconfortable."
"Tthe staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I felt very comfortable and at ease. The room was clean and tidy and well equipped. The best holiday inn l have ever stayed in. "
