If you can afford . It s better to get lake vore room in the front -- it's additional $50 USD but you get the lake view.. if you stay in the back you only see the old ugly trees and cement wall
From our room the Mount Fuji view was spectacular and we have great photos. Although the next two day were filled with heavy rain, I felt sorry for the other tourists; who could not enjoy the Mount Fuji view. But we had a wonderful time and much thanks to the friendly staff. Aloha.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
The stay in this hotel was pleasant. Breakfast was great, fresh and various options.
Onsen bath on the 6th floor was clean and facing the lake and part of Mt Fuji and at night beautiful!
Location is good, city buses are just at the door step. Note…lots of restaurants in the area closes 8pm.
The only thing “bad” is the lack of communication and signage in English, letting the guest know that shuttles to Kawaguchiko station are available if booked the day before upto 9pm.
Otherwise, great stay overall. Bang for your buck!
Nice location! The hotel is at Lake Kawaguchi-ko, and you can see Mt. Fuji from the hotel (If the weather and Sky are clear). The room is clean with all equipment, also the onsen with an Mt.Fuji view. We will go back again.
The hotel is old but overall it is clean. It is more expensive compare to the other Route inn hotel that I stayed. Also my room was facing the back so no view at all. The main purpose of the visit is to see Mount Fuji. I only spent one day in the area. If I knew the situation before; I would book the hotel outside the area and simply made a day trip to Mount Fuji. It does not worth to pay the extra money to stay overnight. In addition, the breakfast buffet is only average. The staff is friendly but not very straight; my wife asked if we can fill up my thermal with hot water but was being turned down.
A nice large hotel located on Lake Kawaguchi. The rooms seem rather new or remodeled recently. The spa and breakfast buffet were nice. The only problem was when I checked in I told the staff that I lived in Japan, but they wanted to copy my ID card anyway, which is not the law. If they don't keep such information for Japanese they have no right to keep it for foreigners. Also they should have offered to keep my bag for me at the front as it was 2 pm and I wasn't intending to wait in the lobby until they would give me the key to my room.
Nice value hotel in a great location. Can be a bit crazy if large tour group is there though. Hotel provides pickup at train station in the afternoon. Has public bath on top floor. Crab legs for dinner if you get the half board.
The hotel was functional but the staff were better. Their aim was to please and they did their job well. The hotel was clean and well run and apart from the hordes of tour groups it does fit the bill for an economical spur of the moment trip.
Nice hotel to stay in and the staffs are friendly and efficient. Free pickup and drop off from Kawaguchiko Station with certain timing. We have a wonderful view of the lake and part of Mt Fuji from our window.
Great room size and view of Fuji. Sporadic wifi at best, didn't work in the room most of the time so you may need to go to the lobby for wifi. Other than that a great stay.
A good budget place to stay with decent free breakfast. Room was small. View of Mt Fuji view is good infront of hotel, but better view just a 5 minutes stroll away. A restaurant with good food just beside it.
Great location, kind staff, shuttle service from/to train station, own hot bath with view of Mt. Fuji, another restaurant nearby, smartphone with internet provided for free, tasty breakfast.
Great views from 6th Floor. Good breafast buffet. Friendly staff. Quick check-in.

Average Service, with a ok view
This hotel is now accepted too many tour groups, therefore it is packed during breakfast and bath time. The service is just so so as Japan standard, not really friendly
Too Old And Dirty , Not much Toiletries provided, Use Bad Quality Things , like Toilet Paper is so thin and rough . Room Too Small , usd 120, but No Dinner , Breakfast is not much good food , not much choice .
Our room had the view of the Lake Kawaguchiko and Mt Fuji. It was so beautiful. The room was spacious, nice and clean. Provided complete toiletries. Given keys for private onsen for me and my husband. Breakfast was excellent. The Shuttle van took us to the Kawaguchiko Station at our convenient time. Staffs were friendly and honest by recommended us for the dinner at Konami. It was the best valued hotel for what you paid and what you got.
View of Lake Kawaguchi right in front, Mt Fuji is at the right corner and can be seen when the weather is clear.
Main downside :
Bed is on the harder side and Wi-Fi signal is weak & poor.
The hotel took a long time to find our reservation and kept saying that they couldn't find our reservation on their system.
Room is small but comfortable.
Onsen and breakfast were nice.
The staffs didn't speak English very well but they tried hard to help you. The hotel offers one way transfer from the station to the hotel and return transfer from the hotel to the station on the next day but you have to book one day earlier. If you are taking public transport, it is number 13 bus stop of the red line, very close.
Hotel with the lake view but rude restaurant staff
The front office girl at reception when I checked in was nice and helpful. The hotel reception staff is fine overall. However, I had a bad experience with the restaurant staff. I was 15 mins late for the breakfast (was not aware the breakfast timing as no mention anywhere in English) and there was someone eating there and the restaurant was open. I was taking some vegetarian stuff (whatever little was there) to eat but suddenly the waitress came and started saying it was closed and she took the tray away from me and I had to leave. There was buffet food still there and was uncleared and a guest eating as well. Therefore, I thought this was very rude and I was just asking for 5 or 10 mins.
Good location, right in front of the lake. View of Mt Fuji slightly blocked by another small hill but you can walk down further to see a clearer and unblocked view. There is an onsen on top of the hotel, overseeing the Mt Fuji. The buffet breakfast provided was OK.
