Touch with no body, till one of the guess in that location was very helpful and get i. "This property was a treat to stay in, especially for the price. The traditional futons made for a quiet, relaxing evening before a busy day of touring Fujiyoshida. I was a huge fan of the wood floor bathroom and wooden bathtub as well. I would recommend spring or summer stays, as the traditional construction means it will be quite cold in the winter, but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji."

"Check in was a little sketchy, I struggled to find the right door at first and keypad. And when I got into my room, I didn't realize the door would lock behind me when I left. I closed the door to go to the bathroom downstairs and luckily I had my phone on me with my code, but if I had locked my phone in my room without my code I would've been in a really bad spot since there is no receptionist or on-site staff. "Stay was convenient. Although i did try to contact staff by email and phone i had no luck. But i also didnt book directly with the hostel so its not their fault either. Luckily there was somoene willing to help get in contact with staff. Bedding was comfortable enough, room was provided with air conditioning. But all in all its totally fine for a short stay. Right next to family mart and easy self check in ~ bonus!! "

"Very nice property with a view of Mount Fuji. The room smelt slightly muggy upon arrival, which can be expected due to how close to the lake it is. Quickly fixed by turning the air on. Wonderful accommodations. Water and fridge provided in the room, bathroom has great water pressure, and the tatami mat seating area was pleasant to relax in and view the mountain. The staff were very helpful and greeted us every time we came and went. You can rent bikes directly from the hotel which was very convenient for exploring the area. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the Kawaguchiko Station and near lots of good food. Next time we visit we will definitely stay here again."

"For us this felt like a real traditional experience of a ryokan room style of an accommodation. The room with lake view was beautiful and being welcomed into it by a host was quite an experience, our host was wonderful. the hotel is not facing mt Fuji BUT it has roof top foot spa (!!!) with a fantastic view which is wonderful. The dinner in our room was an amazing experience also, a nice surprise. Important to note the space overall is not new or modern, feels a little tired and the hotel could do more to explain how the experience works. Take your guests on a journey."

Had a traditional Japanese room with tamhimi mats and tea set The Public Onsen is awesome they switch the male and female sides. Views of Mt Fuji and TATTOO friendly. STAFF is what makes this place great, made sure was able to make it to train station out and super friendly/helpful. Decent gift shop on-site . Would love to come again when in Fuji area"

"If you are visiting Japan and want to step away from the city life for nature, then HOSHINOYA Fuji is a perfect spot. We glamped for a few days in September, and though Mt. Fuji did not make an appearance, the experience made up for it in full. There are so many activities to participate in, we cut wood, did breath work, made pizza, and enjoyed their amazing menu for all meals. It is a must stay if you come to Japan."

"I liked that it provided free shuttle to the hotel from the bus/train station. The room was clean and staff were kind. They allowed us to hold our luggage at the lobby free of charge after check out so we can explore the area a bit more before heading out. They provided free coffee/drinks and late night snacks for their guests. The hot tub on the balcony overlooking mount fuji was beautiful! They had private onsen, but it didn’t look so clean and sanitary inside, so we just stayed at our balcony hot tub. The breakfast buffet’s food was mediocre, nothing impressive."

"LOVED our stay here! Initially when we were looking into booking, we thought it was expensive but figured... Why not, it's our honeymoon and who knows if we'll ever get another opportunity to book something like this. Honestly... Worth every penny!! We booked the room with the private onsen and it was wonderful. The onsen itself was really nice to have after all the walking we did. We also had our breakfast and dinner included and it was delicious! Would recommend this place to others and would definitely come back! Staff was also so friendly and accommodating!"
