"We loved staying in this big old mansion and appreciating how they built them in the old days. Jim and Susie are warm, friendly and accommodating hosts. The breakfast each morning was tasty and delicious. We got to really appreciate how nice Cherry Valley was when we went downtown to Cooperstown one night. What a horrible tourist town. It was nice to get back to Cherry Valley. We were there for the Glimmerglass festival which is very close and only a few minutes away."

"Breakfast was a plus, we want to say the man in charge of having breakfast ready was very attentive, making sure everything was full, ready to eat. There is another male who was rude with people, when the coffee machine wasn’t working he responded in a rude way! Gray polo uniform, skinny guy, not very tall, young. Besides that, everything was good. Housekeeping were on track, cleaning and having all room amenities available."

"We were very pleased with this Red Roof lodge. The main lobby was very clean and cheerful. At check in they were very friendly and accommodating. We were not sure what condition the place would be in as you see pictures on line but things could be different when you arrive. This one was not different. So we booked another night stay. During the next day I was amazed at the amount of staff they had working to keep the place clean They did also have a nice area to eat breakfast with plenty to choose from. Also very easy to get to different places in town. They had a sheet with suggestions for local restaurants. Small town but very friendly."

"I liked how clean the room was and especially the large desk are that I used frequently while I was there for a week! The only two issues I wished different--the was no freezer in the mini fridge and I had no way to make my ice packs cold each day. And the bed mattresses were flat and VERY hard. Other than that, things were great!"

"Exceptional location, just a short walk to Baseball Hall of Fame and Main Street activities ad well as beautifully situated at the Lake with a nice restaurant. We had limited contact with staff (which I view as a positive) but interactions were always pleasant. The room was very clean; small as you would expect a motel style room to be, but nice queen size bed with a small sitting area. Bathroom was very clean and bright; my only comment is that with a pedestal style sink, there was no counter space for toiletries, etc. There was a single glass shelf which helped but was still a little fight for space for 2 people. That said, there was space elsewhere in the room to store these things but it created a little disconnect. I will definitely return."
