Lovely, clean room that had the essentials. Room had a small fridge but not a smart TV. Otherwise, the area was good-lots of shops and walking distance to the Uffizi Galleries and the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze.

The breakfast was amazing. The only thing was all the stairs we had to climb to get there and the shower in my room barely had water coming out of the shower head other than that the people were nice and very welcoming

We were warmly welcomed. Our room was ready for us any incredibly comfortably. The air worked great after a day of hiking around in the sunshine. We slept comfortable and peacefully with absolutely no sounds from the street, or the hotel, waking us. Breakfast was delicious and filled us for the morning. Service was prompt and cheerful. Would definitely recommend!

Small pension in a very good location. Each room decorated with different artists team, nice! Very helpful staff. The only minus was a steep staircase to the entrance.

We stayed in hotel Abaco for 2 nights last month. The location is great - a few minutes' walking distance to the main sites, but the property is undeniably OLD. There is a stink throughout, in the room and especially in the bathroom. When we walked in, the first thought was: can we go somewhere else (obviously we can't - nothing is refundable). Everything is old: badly peeling paint, the wood of the doors barely holding together, no lock from the inside, extra beds were a joke. The bathroom is tiny and crammed, the shower barely usable, water pressure barely existent. The staff were accommodating - but there's nothing to do about the condition of the property, really. Breakfast was served in the front hall, a croissant, a bun, and a coffee per person. For the price, I absolutely wished I would have chosen someplace else. Great location - poor value and experience.

A lovely place to stay, close to everything in a lovely old building. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The children in particular LOVED the breakfast ( especially the Nutella). Grazie mille! We would love to go back.

Hotel Abaco is quirky, charming and authentic. It was very convenient for us to walk around Florence, and is very close to lots of restaurants, cafes, museums, and wonderful small shops. In fact, for a busy few days as a tourist in Florence it could not be better. OK - it's old, and you have to climb 55 stone stairs to it (it's on the 2nd floor) but it would not be authentic otherwise. La Signora who runs it was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed visiting!

Great location, workers were very nice. RV size wet bathroom, tablecloth thick towels. No elevator so you had to walk up a few flights of stairs and down. Our room opened up into the middle of the dining area which could be awkward in the morning when we left.

Our experience in Florence

Fantastic location, breakfast small but goid, very old city location so rooms small especially bathroom, got noidy esrly in thr morning as breakfast area right outside our room. Overal would recommend if looking at convenient location? As a disabled person whivh it had been made clear how many glights of stairs to climb to reach hotel. Very eadyvto walk to from main station.

Worst bed ever!

Awful, terrible bed. Cannot overstate this enough. Location was great though, so if you like being close to things and don't intend on sleeping or you're making a booking on behalf of someone you don't like, this is the place for you.

Surprised that Expedia had a “good” rating for this hotel, which is not justified. I have trust deficit with Expedia’s rating after my experience at this property. The property is old and has no lift. Guests have to carry their luggage up two floors, and there was no warning given for this by Expedia in its description of the property. Customer service was very poor. We had breakfast with our booking, but there was no place to sit and eat - hence had no breakfast. Also staff refused to provide hot water requested for tea before breakfast was open to be served. Uncomfortable and vey small toilet space - again something not highlighted by Expedia. I would rate the property as a hostel for students - not a hotel.

Super gelegen in 5 Minuten vom Bahnhof und in 5 Minuten am Dom. Direkt an der Straße, also nachts nicht wirklich ruhig, ich konnte aber gut schlafen. Einfache Unterkunft, die aber alles bietet, was ich für eine Stadtbesichtigung brauche.
