"We enjoyed our stay at the super 8. Very helpful staff. Room, pool, lobby and breakfast area very clean and well maintained. Nice decor in our room. Would recommend this hotel visiting the Ashland, WI area."

"Friendly staff Great mini fridge/freezer K-coffee Very clean with nice bedding Vinyl plank type flooring (no nasty old carpet) Smaller than it appears from booking info pictures, very tiny room. Crowded for two people with suitcases and food/bevvies. Road noise very loud so either bring earplugs or a white noise machine. All in all, would recommend - very good value for the price."

"I think this is a phenomenal Hotel. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the coffee. I wasn't expecting Starbucks but it was the most disgusting coffee you could ever put in your mouth. I tried it two days in a row and ended up getting coffee elsewhere. Aside from that it is a wonderful place today!"

"Washburn Inn is an older hotel set on lake Superior with a beautiful view of the Bay, the rooms are sufficient for sleep and showers and they serve coffee in the check in area. There is a nice Superclub across the parking lot and everything is close by to visit."

"Beautiful location within easy 5-10 minute walking distance to downtown Bayfield shops, restaurants, and the ferry to Madeline Island. We were there for peak fall leaves color. The view of the lake, the island, the small marina, the trees, and the sunrise from the cozy furniture on the deck outside our door was amazing. It is a motel, so there is the potential for noise from the vehicles that park outside the rooms, but it was a non-issue. Our stay was peaceful, pleasant, and perfect."
