The COVID-19 outbreak has changed how the world works in many ways, and travel has changed with it. The following tips will help you navigate the new challenges and prepare you for your holiday in Firth of Clyde:

• Before booking anything, find out if any travel restrictions or bans apply — in both your destination and origin. Get up-to-date information by reviewing government and travel websites.
• You're required to wear a face mask at the airport, including at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask for ID verification when asked by a TSA officer.
• Avoid handing your boarding pass (electronic or paper) directly to a TSA employee. Instead, you should place the pass on the reader and then hold it up to allow the agent to visually inspect it.
• You are now allowed to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on bag. You'll need to remove it for X-ray scanning.
• Empty your personal items from your pockets, like your wallet, coins and keys, and place them in your carry-on instead of into bins. This will minimize handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you're carrying for X-ray scanning. Putting it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to handle and inspect your belongings.
