Communicating with the stuff was challenging as they are not on site, there were long waits to collect the keys. The room is nice and cozy but smelled as it has been closed for a while. It says there’s breakfast included but there isn’t. Kitchenware needs to be refreshed. "

"The hotel was absolutely wonderful. If you’re reading this, chances are you’re an American who, like me, knew little about Spello, Italy before booking. Trust me—you won’t regret staying here. While we didn’t dine at the on-site restaurant, it offers incredible views. The location is also very convenient—perched at the top of the hill, it rewards you with stunning scenery (and a bit of a workout getting there).
My only small disappointment was that we requested a check-out just one hour later, since our train wasn’t leaving until later in the day, but the staff wasn’t able to accommodate—even when I offered to pay for the extra time. Still, overall, it was a truly lovely stay. "

"I had a last mini snafu with my actual reservation and was told upon arrival my reservation was not valid as location does not use Expedia. Immediately I was able to find another booking and made same day reservation at Hotel Federico II. I immediately called hotel after reservation was made and they set up an adjoining room to accommodate our family and even set up a rolling bed to accommodate our five people. The included breakfast was quite impressive and the accommodations were very relaxing. My husband and I was able to enjoy alone time at the bar. It was very peaceful. Staff was always kind and helpful with what we needed. "
