"if you're looking for a full on Spa Hotel this is not it, the pool is small and the sauna and steam rooms are tiny and there are chairs around the pool but no loungers due to no space. That said I enjoyed those things a lot and at one point had it all to myself. The accommodation is in either the very grand old building or the travel inn style block at the back, one side looks out onto lovely countryside the other the car park. Thr room was lovely with a slightly compact shower room but I had a really comfortable night. the food in the restaurant was great with really attentive service.. thank you 😊 Breakfast was also really good, great range and plentiful..honestly I couldn't eat another thing.. The icing on the cake is the setting.. I sat outside as the sun went down with a beer on the patio outside the bar..you just see trees and grass.. just perfect. The staff all great all the way through, all requests met with a positive response and a smile. Don't book direct its much cheaper via the obvious websites and just remember its also a wedding venue so check if there is one when you are staying and ensure you get a room furthest away.. I did and it was fine.. no real noise. In short.. was actually sad to leave I felt really relaxed.. I will be back 100% Thanks to all the amazing staff."

"Last minute booking, stayed for 3 nights and was not disappointed. Place of character and charm. Check-in staff member was extremely helpful and considerate with view of allocating a room that met the physical disabilities and needs associated of the person accompanying me. Room was large, clean and functional. Stayed during heat wave and a fan was supplied without having to request one. Staff greeted us in the mornings on arrival for breakfast and were accommodating. Handy for all amenities as situated centrally in Banbury Plenty of choice with breakfast. Hotel situated in beautiful grounds, very picturesque. Plenty of car parking which was a necessity when choosing a venue for us. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again"

"Cannot recommend this hotel enough! It’s clean, modern and the staff are friendly. It was very inexpensive (may not be all the time but we got a great deal) so honestly I really shouldn’t complain. I really liked the idea of having a water tap (hot and cold) in the hallways. I greatly dislike drinking water from the bathroom tap no matter how many times hotels say it’s safe. So this is a great way to avoid plastic bottles and kettles. Food is at the American diner that’s part of the hotel. You have to pay separately but it’s fine. Only thing though, there was some weird noise (maybe very loud music or someone hitting a wall?) very late in the night so I guess the rooms are not as soundproof as they ought to be. But with great AC, a comfortable bed and a huge bathroom, it’s still a great room."

"The staff were very helpful and parking was a breeze! Our room was snug, comfortable, and quiet. It's hard for our family of 4 to enjoy sharing a room, but this was a great spot! The location is great for walking to City Center and avoiding the congestion fees. Some might find the walk too far and although we didn't take the bus, it would have been easy because there were a ton of stops heading into City Center."
