Decent hotel, good bed, clean, decent breakfast. There was a serious incident outside the hotel in the night and we woke up to find police and forensics teams outside. Not the hotels fault but still not really what you want from a stay!

Nice helpful staff good condition, value for money
Our stay was perfect very helpful receptionist friendly chamber maid, bar staff competent and friendly and morning breakfast buffet was fantastic. Waiting Staff were efficient helpful and quick to clear and replenish. I will definitely use this hotel again it felt very boutique at times I have never been so comfortable staying away from home before
Nothing to fault about the hotel but I had booked 2 rooms and one of them was not ready at 3pm so we went in the room that was ready to wait for a phone call from reception . At 4.45pm still hadn’t heard so went to reception where the receptionist did apologise she had been so busy had forgotten to tell us. Perhaps more staff needed on reception
Very busy at the time of check out. Staff were ok. Some noise early in the evening but it quietened down. Could work on the check in times, but all ok. 8/10 on the whole.
Stayed one night. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Well situated for a short walk into the city centre. Parking is easy and just opposite the hotel. Rooms are adequate with all necessities on hand. My hotel of choice each time I visit Exeter.

Liked: Staff & service
Bed too firm and pillows
Floor not cleaned from previous guest bottle tops and corks on floor
Restaurant bar at least 8 tables approx 20 people bar closed at 10.30 whilst everyone still drinking all individual tables very quiet guests
Check in was busy when I got there but receptionist was efficient. I was asked how I was when I got to the desk. I wasn’t feeling my best (a nasty cold) and was tired from lots of driving. The man on reception was keen to get me settled and put me in a quiet room away from any noise. I was so grateful and I thought very attentive of the receptionist. So thank you
Nice hotel centrally located. Parking is quite expensive in Exeter. The hotel deal of paying 10 pounds for 24 h in a parking garage across the street from the hotel is not that great as it does not allow for any exit and reentry within that 24 h period. But the room rate is actually competitive for this quality hotel so that compensates for expensive parking
This is my favourite hotel in Exeter. First, it offers value for money. My King and single room over the Christmas and New Year worked out at $80 a night. The staff are extremely attentive. The Bar staff in particular - Karen and Finn were always to hand. The Night Manager and night staff are also extremely helpful and polite. Its location is superb - about a 3 minute walk from the National Express coach stop. The Vue cinema is right opposite the hotel. And you are about a 6-7 minute walk from the Princesshay retail centre and the High Street. Was very sorry to leave to head home…
