We were disappointed that the pictures advertising the Walton Hall Hotel & Spa were quite deceptive. The actual hotel is not at all connected to the historic Walton Hall, and the hotel wing and room that we experienced were very worn and in need of a renovation. The pool and fitness room were listed on Expedia as amenities, but these facilities are not owned by the hotel and require payment for use (after registering our complaint, we were given free passes). On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the wifi worked.

Clean but like some old buildings, plumbing is a challenge. A shower where it was impossible not to spill water on the floor! But the room was clean and comfortable.

We had superior rooms on the second floor with wonderful views. They were clean and comfortable, though the room service was a little careless. The second floor is accessed via 2 long stair cases.
