"The Staff at the Alphotel displayed an amazing degree of compassion as we faced a very tragic personal loss during our stay. They went beyond what was needed or expected to assist us in our time of crisis and were nothing but caring, kind and considerate as we dealt with our tragedy. "

Lovely hotel in Ettal village. Plenty of restaurant choices within walking distance.
Very nice breakfast included.
Convenient parking.
Short drive to Linderhof, which was our reason for selecting the hotel.

We were warmly welcomed and given lovely rooms. The rooms were clean and had a sitting area too… felt very spacious.
The breakfast was lovely. A good choice of local food. Not one of these massive breakfasts but plenty. A good start to the day.
The lady who served breakfast and who checked us out was lovely… when I asked about her recommendations for local things to see and do, she was very helpful, but not overbearing in the slightest. When asked, she said she had appeared in previous passion...

I booked the hotel late for a ski trip with my kids. The hotel was lovely. Well adorned, spacious rooms. Hotel was very clean. Wellness centre was great - lovely Jacuzzi, pool, sauna and steam room.
We had half board and the breakfast was big and varied
Ate in the restaurant once - it was a little too trad German for my kids but was well cooked
Staff are very friendly and helpful

We had a 4 day stay in Garmisch and the accommodation was beautiful. A typical german style apartment. Very clean with everything we needed. There was a wellness suite in the basement with sauna, solarium and various other wellness bits. The rooms were very clean and the bed large and very comfortable. No oven or microwave, but a hob, fridge and TV. The collection of the key for the apartment was easy and just a lovely stay in a beautiful part of Germany.
