This must have been a wonderful hotel 25 years ago, but it is not now. The rooms don't look anything like the ones on the pictures; however, the service is wonderful.

Classic older hotel with beautiful artwork displayed. Our room was nicely decorated and had a sitting area. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.

Convenient location close to Rome Metro and within walking distance of Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Very good Buffet Breakfast. Traditional hotel with excellent bathroom facilities. There is a nice Bar area and in house restaurant. Good Value for money in an area with lots of local restaurants.

The shower was the smallest I’ve ever used. Smaller than a RV shower. The bathroom was cramped and awkward.

TV did not work. Toilet was difficult to flush.
Inadequate at keeping hot dishes hot on the breakfast buffet. They were cold to luke warm.

It feels like going home to family, nice family. That is because of the staff. It feels like going home to rich family because of how the place is decorated, lots of art. A metro stop connecting you to most of the things that you came to see, the main train station is one metro stop away, but you can walk to many things. We walked to the Coliseum last time we visited (two or three years ago), this time used the metro a lot ( I am two or three years older after all). Breakfast is European, I may have paid for this or it may have been included, I don't remember. (probably was included). Room was good, I went with a smaller room this time, they have just a few larger rooms so if you want that book early and carefully. We knew we would be in room little time so smaller was fine this trip. no English on the TV, but we had fun watching Italian TV and figuring out what was going on. they have a restaurant on sight at night with a bar if you need that close by, or course there was a mini bar in the room too. My only issue this time was minor & personal. They have regular shower curtains and they are clingy. I hope soon they will up grade to the ones that have a survey shower curtain bar that gives you more space from the curtain. Not bad if that is the worst thing I can say. Oh, they have very small elevators and there is the need to walk up some stairs. If you have issues with this, please investigate more, but then most European hotels have these issues. Enjoy!
