"I usually never leave reviews. I’ve visited so many hotels but this one by far has been the worse experience. I was given a room secluded from everyone. On top of that the tv never worked I reported the issue, and on the day I was checking out they decided they wanted to take care of it. I had critters all thru my visit. From frogs being found every night of my stay , to flying insects. I understand we’re in a hot climate but the fact that I was unable to properly enjoy my stay and had to have the general manager come and send someone every night to check for frogs that he himself had to take out. I will absolutely will not be visiting this hotel. The morning of my check out I met with the client manager and she only offered to upgrade my stay if I ever visited again: I feel they could of done better to accommodate me . They did offer to change my room but if the room wasn’t properly suited for someone I should of never been given that secluded room. The food at the hotel was horrible. Never going to this hotel again."

"I recently spent several days at Sanctuary Cap Cana and had a wonderful experience. The property is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and offers a peaceful adults-only atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and recharge. The highlights were the service, pools, and overall ambiance. Staff were consistently warm and attentive, and the resort felt luxurious without being overwhelming. The pools were stunning and quickly became my favorite place to spend the day. A few observations for future guests: the beach is attractive but relatively small, and there was a noticeable amount of sargassum during my stay. If long beach walks or crystal-clear shoreline conditions are a priority, that’s worth considering. That said, the pool experience more than made up for it. I didn’t care to be honest. Nightlife is fairly low-key, which I was okay with. Most guests seemed content enjoying cocktails, live music, or relaxing around the property rather than seeking a party atmosphere. My room was beautiful, though I found the mattress less comfortable than expected for a luxury resort. Complimentary room service until a later hour would also be a welcome addition. Overall, these were minor drawbacks in an otherwise excellent stay. I left feeling rested, refreshed, and very glad I chose Sanctuary Cap Cana. I would happily recommend it to travelers seeking a beautiful, relaxing, adults-only all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic and would strongly consider returning."

"Beach is useless and stinky(From so much sargassum). Pools are dirty. Food is mediocre at best(Mandela was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant). Balcony ceiling crumbled from weather. Entertainment was equivalent to a local talent show. Quick changes on what food is available and when made it hard to plan ahead. Preferred pool changed location during stay(Seemed weird). I would like to shout out the employees at the Italian restaurant, very pleasant experience and good food. Overall though, very underwhelming experience and nowhere close to a 5 star hotel and wouldn’t spend the money or time to come here again."

"Drinks at the beach bar are not served with care. The ingredients are ok but the frozen drinks are never frozen and ingredients are just poured in together vs blended. Lobby bar is better. If they cared more about the prep it would nice. I'd rather have one good drink vs ingredients just poured into a cup. The prep matters a lot when it comes to that and it does not cost anything."
