Disappointed with breakfast considering the amount of money I was charged. I think if they knew the chefs were going to be off this should have reflected in the price I was charged. Vastly over pricey

The room was spacious, clean and the views from tge rooms were spectacular. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Can't wait to come back and maybe be able to enjoy what looks like a wonderful golf course.

The owners must have spent a lot of money on this premises, decor was excellent, service was excellent. Great staff and nothing was to difficult for them. We were impressed wih the food and the rooms were outstanding including the beds. I will consider returning to the lounge in the future, John C B

A comfortable place to stay
Everything perfect until we went to shower and found previous guest's soap residue on the wire shower basket! Had to request a clean mug at breakfast- explanation was the tables were set when it was dark, so splashes couldn't be seen (Yes, really .... )

Beautiful
Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The room was very large and comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had two meals at the restaurant and they were lovely. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. All in all a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Would have left if I wasn't staying with family
The hotel is nice. The rooms are spacious and clean. But the bed was atrocious. You could feel every spring. I slept for 1h before waking up with back pain. After trying to layer every duvet and blanket on top of the mattress, my partner went to reception to find us another room. The room we were given was sleepable, but the mattress was sloping and I had to place a pillow on my side so I wouldn't roll out of it. If I wasn't staying with more people, we would have left and probably slept in the car and I think we would have slept better. The people on the other room also complained of their bed. Breakfast was cold and generic. There were two girls and a guy waiting, but only the guy seemed to be working and running to serve everyone while the girls stood at the bar watching. We ran out of coffee, juice, sugar, milk, eggs, bacon.. and there wasn't much of a rush in replacing it. My brother was meant to be staying there next week.. I told him to find somewhere else. Wouldn't go back if it was the only place left. The car and a garage coffee would have been better.

Lovely room, cosy and warm. Lovely views. All staff very helpful. Food was superb. Not been since before Covid but will certainly be back.

Stayed for 1 night. Had dinner, drinks and breakfast in the hotel. Polite staff. Dinner was superb. Could have been offered a breakfast menu (we did ask but none), as my partner ordered eggs Benedict and it came with avocado instead of bacon/ham which he would not have ordered. Would stay again however. No issues. Lovely location and parking on site.

Hotel, great! Service, not so great.
The Lodge is done to a high standard and has a great restaurant. Our room, was spacious, warm and done to high standard. Location is out of the way but maybe that's what some people are looking for and of course if you are looking for a round of golf, the course looks amazing with some great views. However, What let our experience down was the lack of customer service from the front desk. We tried to contact the front desk on numerous occasions to ask for directions as our satnav was given us false directions. When we found the hotel, we went inside to check in. There was no one at the front desk, just a small sign to direct us to go to the bar. We went to the bar and we were then told to go back to front desk and somebody would be with us in a minute. We found a young man checking us in to be quite rude and very unhelpful. When we said to him we had been trying to phone the front desk, he replied with “I’ve been too busy at the bar, I wouldn’t have answered the phone” Once we had checked in, the staff member then asked us if we were going to dine with them for dinner, before we could answer, we were told that it was very busy and if we didn’t want to dine with him he would be we need to let him know now. He didn’t make us feel welcome atall. We understand that hotel dining can be busy however his tone was very dismissive and we were made to feel like an inconvenience. Our negative experience is more down to the service upon checking in, and not the quality of the hotel.

Lovely stay
We booked a night here last minute as we had dinner booked at The Bonnie Badger in Gullane. The staff were all really friendly, the room lovely clean and spacious with a nice hot powerful shower. We both really enjoyed breakfast and both hope to come back!

All staff professional and friendly. Enjoyable food...good range throughout the day. Locals use just for eating. Paid extra for room with view over golf course, worth it. Flat course with challenging raised greens. Weather was worst week of winter so golf was limited but good base to explore the surrounding areas North Berwick, Dunbar, Eyemouth, Berwick on Tweed. Lots of nearby excellent golf courses. Recommend
