"Was nervous about staying here because it was more of a mom and pop style motel. But it was perfect for our stay. It’s about 40 minutes from Guadalupe and 20 minutes from Carlsbad Caverns. Simple continental breakfast is all I need (coffee, juice, cereal, muffins). Clean and quiet rooms. And I appreciate the little details like having laminate floor instead of carpeting. I don’t know how it would be in the summer when the pool and waterslides are open. But it was perfect for our national parks trip."

"The bathroom door had dried blood on it and a pillow. We bought Clorox wipes and wiped down the door and put the pillow on a chair. The cleaning gal only got $5.00 tip because we had plenty of toiletry supplies. You need to do away with full size beds and have queen size, sleeping was too uncomfortable. I think you could have less creepy pictures of the saints and angels kind of felt like the Shining. Grill had delicious food n our server Michaela was awesome!"

"Worst hotel EVER! Do not come here if you plan to have a nice quiet clean stay! Because you won’t find it here. Rooms are nasty, trust me I saw FOUR nasty rooms they tried to give me before I finally settled on the least gross one, just so I could finally get me and my kids to bed after traveling all day!! Then people started fighting outside and inside. The police had to come! Had we seen the broken windows all in the back of ‘hotel’ we wouldn’t have even checked in, in the first place! DO NOT GO HERE! I tried getting a Refund, even that isn’t happening like they promised. It is an awful place please don’t come here especially if you have kids!!!!"

"I made my reservation online for a non-smoking king room. Upon arrival a very nice lady named Ghiya checked me in. She told me there were no king rooms and gave me 2-queen beds. Easy enough, but the beds were laid on top of metal boxes with no box springs. The beds were so hard and very uncomfortable. The next day I awoke hungry for the breakfast that was included. There was instant coffee crystals in a large bowl with hot water. No fruit, no bagels…it’s actually easier to tell you what was there despite the photos online. There was waffle mix and syrup. White and wheat bread slices. They had a gallon of milk in a cooler as creamer, some butter and I believe a small portion of cream cheese. This was the first stop on my 11 day travel journey through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico to attend my only daughter’s wedding in Palm Springs. I did feel safe but the rates should have been lower for the actual experience provided. "

"Clean rooms. Nice facility. 87° and sunny. Outdoor pool closed, can't even sit outside by the pool. Desk clerk called manager to see if just sitting out there in the sun would be ok. Manager said no. Pool area states no lifeguard, swim at your own risk. Chairs are stacked up, but would not even let us get one out to enjoy the sun. I want a rebate."

"We were first put in a room that had not been cleaned. I asked for a refund and they refused. They put us in another room that smelled awful. The room felt dirty. The shower head did not work properly. Overall, the room was nasty. I went to the lobby the next morning and the supposed “buffet” breakfast consisted of nothing more than cereal and waffles. We ate elsewhere. I don’t know how this gets an 8.8 rating. I would rate it a 1. It’s probably the worse hotel I’ve stayed in. I would NOT recommend this. "

"If you are a smoker, you will enjoy this location. If you do not like the smell of smoke I would encourage a different location. Upon entering the building/casino the entire location smelled of smoke. Fortunately the room did not. Drylands bar/restaurant actually allows smoking within the facility, something just not seen very often anymore. I am not a smoker and thus, will never stay at Zia Park in the future."
