"Checked in and the reception absolutely stunk of weed from the Eastern Europeans in front of us. Asked about parking and was told from 6pm it was free but it we wasn’t moving our car we needed to go out by 8am and pay the machine the day rate. Most of the hotels along the font subsidised parking. Asked what time the bar opened to be told unless there is a coach they don’t open it. Asked about the restaurant to be told the same. Got to our room and it was very basic and on first checking no windows opened and the room was so hot and the radiator was on and couldn’t turn it off. The window was cracked and held together by sellotape. Went back downstairs and asked for a fan and they did get one. The room was extremely basic and no idea how long it had been there but a previous guest had stuck a used plaster on the back of the bathroom door and it was still there. Staff had little interest in speaking to you. First words was you pay now. Went out to get some dinner and when we returned there was a lot of Eastern Europeans stood outside blocking the stairs drinking bottles of wine/beer smoking weed and was quite intimidating to walk past. There is no security or cameras around the hotel. Reception door was open all night."

"For the price it was good enough and I had a good stay and good night's sleep. The shower had no hot water and there's a pub nearby that was noisy but otherwise ok. Parking is very hard to find nearby."

"The hotel could be very lovely. However, it is really rundown and has been let go. The breakfast was the best part, food was hot and fresh. Good variety too. The room i was in was on the 4th floor. Only 1 lift was working for a full hotel. The lift was the width of 1 person and could only fit 2 people in it. It took ages to get the lift. The corridors were very dark and creaky. My room was nextcto a fire door in the corridor so it was constantly banging all night. The room had wood rot in all the windows and could here every little noise outside all night as on a main road. and damp patches on the ceiling. The toilet stopped working and took hours to get it fixed. The bed was very uncomfortable. I had springs in my back all night with very flat pillows too. The water pressure was diabolical just trickling out of the shower and tap. Only cold too. Not enough hot water to fill a,cup came out of the shower. Asked by reception if we would stay again, i felt very uncomfortable saying no as i am a polite person that dont complain but i had to on this point."

"Family rooms are in the basement - this is not made very clear on Expedia and the photos have certainly been enhanced to hide the lack of light... Service is okay - staff aren't really informed. The staff on the morning of checkout was short, verging on rude. Staff didn't even ask how our stay was; just said bye. Cleanliness is okay - pieces of pretzels on the floor near the window and dust in corners and under the bed. No shelves in the bathroom make it almost impossible to comfortably use as a family. Finally the family room layout was much more basic that the glossy pictures, no sofa or lovely seating area, a bed, a bunk and a small table. The differences in the rooms options should be made clearer online when booking. Wouldn't visit again; not worth the price at all. "

"The room was ideal ***** for myself as a solo traveller. This top floor room was nicely decorated. clean, secure, facilities perfect and no noise from the stairs/common area, nor outside. Could not fault the room at all. Decor throughout the hotel generally was very pleasant. The lift was out of order however it didn't spoil my stay as although one of the agile older generation, was up and down the stairs in no time at all. "

"The room was very clean, the staff friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check in a little early. The street parking can be a little tricky, but we did find a spot each day. Breakfast was excellent. A nice pub, the Marine quite close. A word of warning! The portions in the pub are huge! We would definitely stay at the Beach Front again."

"Clean Room and Hotel very close to beach . Nice selection of breakfast bits and cooked breakfast was nice . Only thing could fault it on was we only had a double framed bed which was too small and uncomfortable for me to get a good nights sleep a new mattress would have helped as could feel the springs. Length wise I'm 6ft 5 and bed was 6ft3 so slept a bit sideways 😂. Apart from that would definitely come back. Thanks Alan and Debbie "

"Great welcome at the door and help with luggage. Sea view room, great breakfast and helpful staff. Only downside was the loud seagull outside at 6am but hey, we were beside the seaside!!"
