Absolutely stunning location in a cabin overlooking the sea. We saw endless amounts of red macaws and other wildlife during our stay. The staff were professional, friendly but not obtrusive. This is a small family- run establishment where we felt customer satisfaction was important.
The restaurant meals were excellent and innovative, the smallness of the restaurant resulted in it often feeling more like a private dining experience. The chef also made an incredible birthday cake for my husband’s...

Aguila del Osa is a dream hotel with wonderful views from the bedroom and main lobby/restaurant. The hotel gardens are beautiful and we saw many birds including hummimg birds right outside our room. There is a nice walk around the hotel and you can also take a trail into the rainforest and the nearby Cocalito Beach, All the staff speak excellent english and are very friendly and provide excellent service. Hi
This place is great lots of birds at tree level and the his and hers showers are a nice touch. It's quite a walk up to some of the rooms so bear that in mind. The hotel restaurant is good and is also close to another new restaurant on the beach. The breakfast was great and the hosts were good. One the nicer places in drake bay but also slightly expensive, I will also mention the mosquito grills on the vents did let small flies in but I was at the start of the rainy season too. All great...

Hotel Villa Drake is a lovely small family run hotel at the top of the small town. The family are very friendly and happy to help, they cooked us a fresh breakfast every morning, even when we needed it at 5:20am. They arranged tours for us and the father is also a taxi driver so took us to the airport at the end of our trip for a reasonable price. It is very easy to walk to shops, restaurants and the beach and we saw wildlife from our window everyday. There were even cappuchins playing on the...

We had a great 6 nights at Casa Gitana, we had a lovely room with a shady private patio, our room was cleaned everyday and the staff were great. Breakfast was included and there is a restaurant for lunch and dinner. It's a short walk to the beach and many tours can be organised at the hotel. Thanks.

Norlyn and Gabriella were great hosts, very friendly and helpful in organising a range of tours/activities and onward travel. The Cabinas are located within easy access of the centre of the village and the beach. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and guests had the use of a kitchen with cooking facilities and fridge which was a great bonus.

We had a great stay at Hotel Margarita. The staff were so helpful and nice. For example, they gave advice on how to get there as we weren't sure whether to drive or boat, then booked the boat for us and transported our luggage and us from the beach. The rooms spacious and clean and had everything we needed. The pool is nice to cool off in. We stayed 4 nights with our 2 teenagers and we all really liked it. Nice relaxed vibe.

The lodge is beautifully designed, open plan, wooden construction, cottages set in the forest open to the sights and sounds. The food is lovely. There are a range of public spaces and well made trails into primary forest giving several kilometres of walking. We saw frogs, leaf cutter ants, turtles, monkeys, butterflies, toucans, hummingbirds and much more. The staff are knowledgable. The lodge is owned and run by a family committed to protecting and restoring the forest and run the Lodge in a...

La Leona is am amazing space just off the beach, nestled into the jungle, totally cut off from the rest of the world as there is no cell signal and no wifi. We loved it, and the two guys running it while we were there were fab. Food was tasty (although certainly not cheap, and there are no other options), and they helped us organise a guided tour into Corcovado which we would definitely recommend (going with a guide also helps support the local economy on the peninsula which has been really...
